How does But of Corpse works? Any necro from any server is accepted? Do I need to represent the guild all the time or we can just use it as a kind of secondary guild to meet with other fellow necros.

99 percent of the guild never represents except during All-Necro Events. The rest of the time they represent their WvWvW, tournament, or friend guild. Only 3 or 4 actively represent regularly.

Any Necro from any server is able to join. It’s simply there for other necros to find help and connect with other players or to talk shop with other necros. Just about every single member is more than willing to take some time to explain or just converse with other players via pm.

We only ask that you represent when we are doing recordings of All-Necro events.

Oooo, that’s an awesome Idea Bull. I have been trying to talk to the Necros of Kaineng and the Necros of Tarnished coast to do a wvwvw battle in the middle of nowhere for fun.

Nice I think we have a total of four Necros currently in FA so let’s try and set it up. I think the main issue is timing as most of us are on different times.

Agreed this should be a sticky. The Necro community is the best of all professions communities thanks to Bas, Nemesis and many other players. Thank you guys.

I would like to point out my amazing gameplay must be the reason, and grabbing a summoned weapon, proceeding to use one of the skills on it randomly, throwing myself off a cliff. Good times.

I did manage to get a few good 2v1 and 1v1’s into the video though, so it is worth a watch if you like condition builds and Bas’ soothing voice.

My soothing voice haha! Did you know my screaming voice in Bas vs. the world is now sitting at 517 views. I am thinking I should have kept the constant death videos i had of me in a tournament against OP. I was solo queuing, my team was bad and I had 15 deaths in one tournament. At one point I died while my teammate was fighting a ranger who was shooting me while they stood beside me without rezzing me.

I have only seen about 20 minutes of each video so far. There is so much editing involved that I only watch a few minutes of each before uploading them. I will have to go back and watch that one completely through now haha.

I’d suggest looking for unlicensed music, or finding companies/artists that are easy to get permission from. A lot of people use music in their videos, the key is finding music that you can use just by giving the artist credit in your description, which makes things much easier than having to email tons of people for permission all the time.

That’s a good point, I would like to help out a Necromancer gamer who would like to get their name out to a few more people.

It’s nice these podcasts and videos get more and more attention…well deserved.

We are doing what we can, our goal is to help players realize that the Necromancer is nowhere close to as bad as some people believe.

I will have kitteno’s podcast with gameplay and Takarazuka’s podcast with gameplay up tonight on our youtube channel. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get all of Shinzo’s videos working, but we did get a good 30 plus minutes of him destroying things with the axe, and you guys get the privilege of watching me try to play Takarazuka’s power build in COF with the gameplay.

I will upload the entire All-Necro CoF run as well. Phase 3 was hilariously fun especially since they made some changes and half our group had never been there before, and I kept forgetting that. You also get 5 minutes of me dying while trying that stupid run :P.

Upvote for Orochi’s suggestion to change Wail of Doom to a fear instead of daze.

They would have to lower the base duration, otherwise you would have a 6 second AoE fear (traited gives base 3, plus 100% fear duration) on a 25.5s CD (traited), which would do upwards of 6k damage, pair that with the two other fears we get and you could have someone feared for 10 seconds, with damage over 10k, from fears alone.

If they reduced the base to 1 second, then I still see a problem with it being a 1.5 second base traited, meaning 3 second with 100% fear duration, giving you a 3 second AoE fear, still allowing chain fearing of 5 seconds (on five people) and 7 seconds on single target (not including fears from corrupting).

Except that after the first AOE fear they scatter in opp. directions, and the max fear duration is capped at 5 seconds, so you could at best chain fear them for 5 seconds if you landed both skills very quickly. Doesn’t sound that overpowered to me when the warrior can do that with “fear me” already (one utility), while we would be using specific traits/foods/weapons to get the same effect.

Wail of Doom is a cone effect, so at most they are going to follow the same conical pattern in their running away (they run directly away from the inflictor of the fear), so with Wail of Doom + Reaper’s Mark you get your 5 second fear pretty easily before they spread out, since they will all be running in the same basic direction from Wail. Wait a few seconds for the fear to tick down to 2 seconds or so, Doom one of them, and now you’ve kept an entire tPvP team feared and ticking for 5k damage.

And that is still assuming that they would reduce the base duration, otherwise you get a very easy max duration fear every 26 seconds (I think over 20% uptime on the strongest DoT and CC in the game is a bit excessive).

It would be ridiculously effective to have quick and easy access to two short CD aoe fears and Death Shroud Fear couple that with a second necro and you could chain fears until someone dies.
