Champion Risen Drake Broodmother
Very Cool Miku!
Hi Ropechef, and thanks!
Nice!
I haven’t even tried to solo this one, but I’ve noticed a disconnect between the telegraph and taking damage too.
I wonder if the Risen Megalodon’s charging bite attack has the same issue. I’ve taken damage before the shark actually gets to me, and cannot seem to dodge it unless I anticipate when it’s coming. I believe the charge uses the same mechanic as the Broodmother, a lunge with multiple damage ticks. Of course, what I’m perceiving could be a latency issue.
Regardless, thanks for sharing the vid.
The other champion drake (for the quaggan’s event in the straits) can be solo’d in the water. I’ve done that one with my mesmer. They don’t do a charge in the water unless you’re close to shallow water.
Nicely done though. I can’t stand to play my warrior. =(
I’m not entirely sure either IndigoSundown. The only strategy that’s worked for me was taking endure pain, immobilizing and doing knockback with harpoon gun #4 and #5 respectively, and using spear #5 to keep distance because as you said, can’t dodge it unless you just guess when he’s going to do it.
I’ll have to give it a try on Warrior. Thanks again for sharing.
If you make a video link of a recorded fight you get moved to “Community creations”?
This is wrong, it’s just a technical post about how to solo a difficult PvE champion, it’s not a “creation”.
Congrats Miku, it’s very impressive to do it on zerk.
Broodmother is a trivial kill for me but with a toughness/healing/condition thief that enables mistakes, so I don’t need as much skills.
Anyway I must have killed it a few thousand times and wanted to post a tip for people who want to try it: Kite away in circle, once the Broodmother charges attack it for 5-6 second then resume kiting in circle.
Since the charge reuse is timed and it charges in a straight line with some practice you will be able to avoid most charges without any evasions.
Some speed enhancement will help with learning the kiting.
You won’t kill it as fast as Miku but it’s safer.
