Okay I only got one reply to my idea, but I got a few views, so I’m hoping this will work out great! I’m excited! Please read the few rules I have before posting! If you like to just skim through text, I tried to bold the critical parts. If you need all the info though, here it is!

Remember the original rules about posting in these forums. Nothing can be NSFW content, so no one should ask for something risky.

If you want to join, post on this forum page by the deadline. The request deadline will be December 25th. December 26, I will private message(PM) everyone with the request they get.

I want to match up people who will be willing to do the same amount of work with each other. For example, a person who is only willing to do a simple drawing of a single character will be matched up with someone else who is putting in roughly the same simple drawing. Someone else might be willing to draw 3 characters, plus color, so I want to make sure things are fair as possible and that the other person is willing to do that extra work.

So remember if you request a lot, you’ll end up doing a lot for someone else.

Notes on the form:

I know your display name comes up when you post, but I’ll be messaging people with the request they get and it’s faster if I can just copy/paste the form

Reference links are very important. Private messages(PM’s) don’t seem to allow attachments, so if you want your character drawn, you’ll need to upload it somewhere else and post it. However, I just discovered the image code works for PM, so if you’d rather post the actual image instead of the link to the image you can type [img]pictureURLhere[/img] under links. It won’t show up on the forums, but it will in the PM. References are not limited to character images. If you want a specific pose and have the perfect photo, that’s fine too.

If your answer to receiving/checking PM’s is “no,” please add in your email address.

When you finish your half of the art trade…..:

Post it on THIS forum page please!! Then people can see the success rate of this event, and I’ll decide whether or not to do it again.

Also send your finished work to the person’s display name that you receive, so they know you finished.

Request: Please draw my character Layla Estrella together with my friend’s character Bobb B with Bobb’s arm around Layla. They can be stand or sitting with some nice scenery of your choice. It’s hard to tell but bobb has blue eyes, not black slits.

Line drawing, I typically draw with pen or sharpie, depending on the level of detail I want to bring out. In addition I draw things close to how I see them, however I will often add flare to my drawing by altering or “fading” the drawing in some way, so be sure to tell me your characters class if you want an effect fitting.

Deadline Extended 2 More Days. I will now need sign ups by December 22nd. On the Morning of the 23rd, I will send out the private messages. I appreciate Fievre and Deus for responding within the first time period I gave out. Going to try really hard to find people to join, but if not then its a party of 3! Her higher level armour is a longcoat consisting of pale brown leather overalls and a purple coat lined with cream. She wields a sword and dagger of the winter theme and two orrian pistols.

Request: If possible, I’d like to see Kryss interacting with her Hoelbrak environment, or in combat against a tremendous or overwhelming foe.

Do you plan to use color or just make a line drawing?: I’ll plan to colour it for sure. But at this point whether it will be done in inks or via PC standalone is still up for debate.

Do you receive/check your PM’s?: I prefer receiving notes (especially the art related stuff) through my own deviantart portfolio page, but via ingame or on the forum may suffice. I’ll more likely be ingame than on the forums with that in mind.

Hey guys! Really sorry to do this to everyone who has been waiting so patiently but I finally found someone who can announce my event on a group page on defiant art. I’m going to extend the sign up deadline once again for just a couple of days. Invite anyone who might be interested! For the couple of people who answered ne quickly forever ago ill try to think of something to make it up to you guys for waiting so dang long. I appreciate everyone here for participating! I asked a gw2 group on DA to share the news and link to here, not sure they will, but at least it’s on their front page if people happen to be browsing through comments. We’ll just have to see if more people join in or not. Maybe next time, if you do this again, have a little more and start spreading the word soon to give people a chance to know about it. Request: Just something depicting my character that matches her personality (max dignity). So she’s fairly regal/haughty; as long as that aspect is preserved I don’t mind the rest being up to the artist. ^^ I also recently got a princess wand skin for my scepter (though it’s not depicted in my reference photos), if that strikes the artist’s fancy.

Here is my art for Fievre! After finishing the drawing I had some fun in Gimp (Like Photoshop but free) and by accident gave the drawing a really neat effect, so now I am really glad I hit the wrong option. Also for reference the eyes are smaller than match heads, so most of the detail is tiny.

The effect is really neat! I like how clean your lines are! It’s really a cool pic! It may have been an accident, but that effect is pretty awesome! It almost looks like a picture engraved into stone. It’s really, really cool!

Don’t worry on the tardiness. The deadline is more so people will try to get stuff in around then and not keep pushing it back then realizingn3 months later they might wanna finish their trade.
