Guild Wars 2

I write short story lores for my guild and I’m in the middle of writing my newest one titled When Gods Were Mortal. All of my other lores have featured time travel, alternate histories, “What if…?” situations, stuff like that. But I wanted to do something different and this time, it will be made available for reading to everyone, not just my guild.

I chose to write about the origins of the gods, a subject discussed by many GW players over the years. From their mortal childhoods, learning their given professions, friendships and rivalries, all leading up to their ascension to immortality and the task of finding a way to save the human race from extinction.

However, It doesn’t end there. That is just the first half of the overall story. It will continue in the sequel Countdown to the Exodus, picking up where WGWM left off. The creation of the Forgotten, bringing humanity to the world of Tyria, the birth of Grenth, Abaddon versus the other gods, the Exodus where they leave the world forever, and more.

NOTE: This is going to be my personal creative take on what I think their origins might be and should not be treated as actual fact. Once I finish WGWM, I’ll find a place to upload it and announce here that it’s ready for reading.

PROJECT CANCELLED

I started posting chapters of the story for just my guild back in mid July, giving them first look at it. 14 chapters later, the only feedback I got was after the posting of the prologue, saying “Great start!”. The previous story I had written before this ended up having a ‘rushed ending’, due to lack of feedback. And now, I’m having to type up another rushed ending and the planned sequel is also cancelled.
