Comments on GW2
A bad article, in a website full of clickbaits. Some stuff also makes no sense (as some say in the comments). Eh…

Objectively apparte the LS and Edge have not seen significant improvements, the game became big news, as far as the pvp and the WVW, from what I understand. It is something that gives meaning to membership in a guild, is missing. Because you can dip your feet in the mission of wanting another guild
At the same time I admit I actually don the article explores the issue

I want to explain better:
The basic problem lies in the fact that I honestly do not need a guild to play GW2, even the quests you can do on your own in a sneak of another guild, when you could insert the activities to be done only with the guild. To WVW well you always have to zaegare, but then why can not form a unique style raid wow? not to mention the drop of the coffers of the achi. that in cases magiornaza no avail.
for the rest of the game okay
You did not need a guild to play GW1 either. That point is moot. Even before heroes, Prophecies, and then Factions, were able to be completed via the use of henchmen. Now, obviously certain things were easier if you had people to help, either pugs or guildies, but it was not required.
Not to be mean, but what you are trying to state is far from clear to me (I get that English is likely not your native language….thus the problem). If you are stating that the name “GUILD Wars” is an issue because you can play the game just fine while never having to join a Guild?
The reference to GUILD WARS in the name is a period of history in the game lore, not any reference to player populated Guilds being in direct combat of any type. If this was some attempt to dredge up the request for GvG mode, this has been done before.
Sorry if I misunderstood your point.
I translated the article and all I could really gather is that the writer seemed to have an axe to grind with the game and that he must follow or obtain much of his info from these forums in some manner. His continual description of all players as disgruntled pitch fork and torch bearers yelling for an expansion is far toi close to what this place shows at times to be a coincidence.
Just my first reaction.
Fate is just the weight of circumstances

the people who help you may also be two contrary your friends, not to force people to the guild.
If there were activities in which only guild you can access it would be better.

The guild wars name is a reference to StarCraft since the old anet had/have ex-blizzard members, and is also a reference to the type of gameplay they wanted for the original the game. The lore aspect is slapped on afterwards.

Not really. By limiting activities to only certain groups – such as only doable by a guild – all that does is lock people out of content unless they submit to being told ‘you must play this way to access this content.’ This is something we desire to get away from, not include more of. It’s no different than saying you can’t do it because you don’t have ‘x’ gear rating. It’s just another precondition which limits available game play. No thank you.

In any case, would something to enhance guilds and make you part of the tournaments as trivially instantiated with guild ranking and \ or guild headquarters to facilitate the crafting, availability of sellers npc, or other useful features, and the fact that everyone can access to a guild issue seat does not discriminate anyone.
My only suggestions are concrete and feasible in my opinion.
