For those who are looking for a tutorial:
http://docs.rainmeter.net/manual/getting-started
Skin design is not just a two click thing and it takes more then 5 or 10 minutes
I’d really like to help you modifying that skin for other classes and races if you need some help …
I can’t wait till this is available to dl tbh I hope i don’t forget to keep checking the page though :s
Amazing man….looks really good
Wow, thanks for all the support guys, i really appreciate it.
I will make an effort to release it by the end of this weekend.
A few questions answered:
I will release the package i made along with a tutorial on how to use it.
Other professions are not yet available, its takes a lot of time.
gioco.2103: I will pm you if i need help, and i probably will.
No scripts were used, photshoped every icon myself and coded each one separately.
Thank you very much.
I have just done my first steps with rainmeter…
Pretty simple to change existing skins but I dont know how to create my own one.
But I don’t need it when you upload your skin on sunday.
Very impressive!~ I’ve been using rainmeter myself for about 11 months and love coding stuff for it. Watching this topic for your download link, would love to just play with that .rmskin
Nice job to get this onto the GW2 facebook looks great

Hey! I’m new to Rainmeter and i cant get this to work, can you give me a little quick tutorial of what i have to do! Thanks!
Can you just make this an .rmskin ?
Very nice!
Is the calendar custom or is there somewhere I can DL it?
That’s an amazing skin, nice work!
I’ve only hit one small snag in setting it up on my system, and that’s getting the weather localized to my area. If anyone here with rainmeter experience could help me out it would really be appreciated
Very nice work! Thank you a lot!
I have one question, do you have a color table? because i want to chance some colors and i am not familiar with the 100,100,100,100 type to define a color.
dude I beg you to write me a private message as I do that such as the C drive icon was moving?
Ironheart, might be better if you just click on the “Create .rmskin package…” button in Manage Rainmeter and then you can just upload the .rmskin so its as easy as 1-2-3 for people to install :P
@zapzarap: The color code is Red(0-255):Green(0-255):Blue(0-255):Transparency level(0-100)

Im not sure with which part you need help with. PM me with more details.

Im not sure how to do this. I will have a look at it. Most probably next week only.
Very nice!

http://docs.rainmeter.net/tips/webparser-weather-location-code
this should give you insight on how to use it. Basically you have to edit the skin(obv) and put in your weather code. Pm me if you are still stuck

Any image editing program can give you this. But here is a web version.
http://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.htm
ps the last value is the transparency.
dude I beg you to write me a private message as I do that such as the C drive icon was moving?
Im not hundred percent sure what your problem is, maybe you can elaborate?
Ironheart, might be better if you just click on the “Create .rmskin package…” button in Manage Rainmeter and then you can just upload the .rmskin so its as easy as 1-2-3 for people to install :P
@zapzarap: The color code is Red(0-255):Green(0-255):Blue(0-255):Transparency level(0-100)
transparency is a 8 bit value thus at has a range of 0 – 255
as a side note, this skin started as an experiment only. It was never intended to be released. Thus it wasn’t written to be. I will tidy up the code and write it so its easier to setup when i have time to do so. But having a full time job and studying part time and with a lot of tests and projects at this time, when I have time is a relative term. Time is a great luxury for me at this time.
nice work
i noticed that there are some second pictures for example for the “internet” the white firefox and internet-explorer icons
but its only possible to use them with your thiefskills
perhabs you can give them to us so that we can add them in our own icons?
and
i dont rly get how i should insert the code for the weatherbar
i have this line
Description=Look up your location at www.weather.com and change “location=…”
and my code is GMXX0087:1:GM
=
location=GMXX0087:1:GM
http://imageshack.us/f/525/gw2h.png/
And just put your things in it.
Someone should make a video for how to configure the theme to easily get it done can someone do it?
http://imageshack.us/f/525/gw2h.png/
And just put your things in it.
If you could, please do it. Thanks in advance for all effort!

I requested the same thing and if you read what he posted back, he said he never intended to release it to people so he didn’t code it very good. He said that if he ever gets time to clean up the code, he’d release the .rmskin package.

I can not move the icons some where I wish, wrote in “technical assistance” that you need to change the code and refresh, but how? you please help;)

Sometimes, individual parts won’t move because they have the “draggable” option turned off. To turn it on, right click whatever it is you can’t use, go to “Settings” and make sure “Draggable” is turned on; If not, just click “Draggable” and it should allow you to move that PART of it.
To “refresh” it, right click the Rainmeter icon near your clock on your PC and click “Refresh All”.
To manually change these in the codes, you basically have to edit the .ini files in “Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\”.

Thanks hahawinner. Also you may not be able to drag it because my skin has an action on the left click, you can disable that function by rigtclicking on the skin, the select edit. Now notepad should open, go to the line that says: “LeftMouseDown….” and put this infront: " ’ ". Save the skin and refresh rainmeter. Drage to where you want it, then edit and undo the changes made and refresh again.
I think what every unexperienced one, like me, needs is a step by step guide on how to install this.
I will probably want to modify it once im comfortable using rainmeter but now’s not the time and what I really want is this installed.
I’ve downloaded rainmeter, both files you provided and installed the red7 theme (which make my desktop look really really ugly).
What I did was to put both folders “GW2” and “Thief Recources” into my rainmeter/skins folder.
Whenever I open rainmeter I can costumize every little thing from the gw2 desktop but some don’t work. The time, for example, appears with numbers on top of each other and all black even though I activate the red one.
Isn’t there a way of making it all into a file and then load it all into rainmeter and the desktop is installed just like that? I use the same resolution as you so there wouldn’t be any problems.

@Ironheart:
If I get the time, would you mind if I cleaned up the code and released a .rmskin using all this(since you’re busy). If you don’t have a problem with me doing that, I’ll attempt clean coding it.

Yes thanks
you are free to modify and redistribute it as you wish…
IF posted on on other sites, just give me some cred XD.
Ironheart
Alright, I’ll put together what I can if I get the time :P and of course, full credit to you and your sources
Got about 70% of it done so far. Still need to redo the “Time” folder so the times display without having the numbers laying on top of each other as well. Basically been just cleaning it up and adding instructions to it for others to use; Making it more user friendly.

Could you pm or even reply here saying what the problem of the “Time” folder was please?
I know very little about programming and I’m just starting, but I’d love to understand how things work and what causes which problem.
Thanks.

Eh, its not all that hard but the .ini files in the “Time” folder, the area between the number time and the AM/PM letters just aren’t spaced correctly so they end up overlapping each other.
The text is blocky(probably AA isn’t on the code, haven’t looked too much into it, was looking at the other stuff and working down the list; just loaded it to see what I had to work with) and the numbers/letters don’t have any colors(since there is supposed to be a black, grey, and red variety) or colored boarder around them to make it match with the rest of the layout. You can figure out how to do this from pretty much reading the documentation on the Rainmeter site.
Oh and coding(if you can call it that) with Rainmeter is pretty simple, its almost like a more complicated html coding.

I really enjoyed this skin. I’m using it with the Ghosts of Ascalon wallpaper since I don’t play a thief.
Anyway, has anyone gotten the music plugin to work with Spotify? If so, how?
Thanks!

With Rainmeter, the Enigma skin can be configured to work with Spotify. Its one of the skins that should of came with Rainmeter for you in the download, just look into the Enigma setup thing :P You can just take that ONE part from the Engima skin and your good to go.
Can you please create Guardian?
Well, haven’t really had time to finish throwing all of it together, but I’ll share what I’ve done so far. To use this, just do the following:
1)Make sure you have Rainmeter installed.
2)Open to “Documents\Rainmeter\Skins”.
3)Open the .rar file (you need WinRAR to open .rar files; 7zip should work too) and drag the “Lionhearts” folder from the .rar file into your “Documents\Rainmeter\Skins” folder.
4)Right click on the Rainmeter icon in your taskbar and click “Refresh All”.
5)A folder named “Lionhearts” should show up in your Rainmeter Manager now. Just click on the .ini files listed in the Rainmeter Manager to toggle the different parts of the skin on and off.
I tried to make it more user friendly than the original release. I am not offering support on how to use this because its a lot to explain and I’ve been quite busy in real life so not gonna have time to help everyone. Enjoy guys and thanks Lionheart for the awesome skin!
