Many people have low FPS even a very good hardware (my exemple).

I have a R9 270X with 8GB dominator 1333

My FPS? 15 to 20…

Then I tried something, Durante (great modder) that create a Mod called GeDoSaTo. This mod it’s used to solve all problems with Dark Souls 2, unlock FPS, make game more stable and increase graphics.

But in the last builds, he add a Generic Plugin what can work with any game, it capture calls by the Engine to DX9 and improve the original code, it result in ANY GAME a good increase of FPS.

What happen when I add the plugin to GW2? My FPS up from 15 to 60 FIXED! The plugin lock in 60FPS for stability.

This mod only work with calls from Engine to DirectX, it don’t exploit the game. I’m posting it to devs add it to a white list and for test, the plugin use GPL license and the code it’s open to study on GitHUB.

You can found the code here: https://github.com/PeterTh/gedosato

Plugin it’s here: http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/

The Devs have no ‘white list’ of mods, and, in fact, mods are frowned upon. Use at your own risk.

err.. i think this tool will not help much anyways. It does cheap tricks to fix console ports.

The fps bug is not a simple thing to solve since all mmorpgs have this problem.

Right now, gw2 looks kinda nice. A simple feature that most player really wanted is a better anti aliasing system. FXAA is just blurry.

Most fps problems are found to be hardware issues or incorrect settings. As for mods Anet will not ban you as long as the mod does not alter the data streams in any way or give you an unfair advantage over other players, but they will not give you any support if you are running a mod. What the OP is doing may not really be considered a mod but more of a hardware enhancement. I run a third gen I5 with a 2year old mid level NVIDIA graphic card, and rarely do I drop below 30fps. Most times it’s a steady 75 to 80 with ingame setting from Hight to a few set to medium.

The only real Solution for better fps is to upgrade your rig. The devs are 2 years into this build, it’s not getting any more optimized than it already is. What cpu are you running? Are you pushing enough power? What res are you running? No way your card should be getting 15 fps. What am I trying to say? The problem is on your end.

Well that would be the times I drop to around 30fps but I rarely play WvW and during world boss events it drops to around 30 but that’s playable for me.

The zergs in this game will drop any beast of a rig to its knees. For instance, full map tequatl zerg during burn phase = 15-30 fps max everything 1080p. And that’s running on i7 4770k @4.2, 2 780’s in SLI, 16gb ram at 1600mhz, Asus maximus IV extreme mobo, ax1200i psu, and I’ll stop there.
