Abbadon waded through the swamp, the portals of madness howled with a sickening cry that seemed to pierce the soul. The wandering souls of the tormented moaned in agony as Shades whispered madness in their ears floating eerily around them.

“Eternal suffering awaits all who fall prey to the swamp… beware the shadows they offer more then just darkness”

Those words echoed through his mind, suddenly a chilling wind blew through the swamp, insanity seemed to be carried with it as a shadowy fog fell upon the treeline. The drakes dove into the deeper parts of the swamp seemingly out of fear.

“What is happening…”
Abbadon looked around the swamp that was bustling with life seemed empty, dead. Even the souls and Shades had disappeared, the silence of the swamp sent cold chills down his spine, he gripped his hammer Entropy tighter attempting to steel himself for whatever may come, he had survived the raid of the centaurs he would survive this. But then he dropped to his knees. A loud howl of madness echoed through the swamp, the trees seemingly trembled in fear as pain shot through his head. His vision blurred and the shadows seemed to being to dance like flames of the Abyss, each holding a twisted smile. The howl died down just as a shadow engulfed the swamp, darkness falling all around him seemingly thickening the air to the point of being suffocating.
“Steady yourself! The Shadow Behemoth arrives!”
A voice rang out from the distance the heavy footsteps wading through the thick swampy waters could be heard. Rising Abbadon turned to see a large creature it’s body twisting shadows madness and death radiating from it’s body. The smell of sulfur filled the air as it let out another howl its smile on it’s face contorted madly upon it’s face, it’s eyes hollow and cold void of any emotion.
“Today you fall to me beast, for my brother!”
a Guardian screamed as she charged out infront of the group
" Freya NO!" A plea came out from who seemed to be the leader of the party, but it was too late the beast lifted up it’s shadowy fist and slammed it down on her, as he raised his fist again, Freya laid there her holy aegis had protected her from any fatal damage but she was stunned in place, her eyes filled with fear her mouth gaped open yet no sound came out. The beast moved to slam his fist down again. Her party could only stare in horror as they were about to witness their friend being crushed.
“kitten it, kitten it!”
Abbadon screamed as he tossed his hammer aside drawing his swords he leapt over crossing them over his head attempting to block the next blow, as the fist landed his blade caught it but the force sent him to a knee, the shockwave sending waves through the water as the sound of metal cracked under the immense weight. Freya looked up stunned and in slight awe. Abbadon turned to her his voice shakey and his arms trembling.
“Don’t just stand there! MOVE I can’t hold this back forever!” He pushed back as he felt the weight shift slightly sending the arm upwards as he grabbed her and rolled away. The party now staring up at the monster, its shadowy grin daring them to approach again the madness in it threatening to infect their very sanity it roared. As Abbadon stood clenching his blades, blood dripping from his hands he let out a roar of his own, his voice filling the party with a new found courage. But would it be enough to bring down the Shadow Behemoth? Will their now seemingly dauntless courage become tainted by madness?
