“Fear Not This Night” is the iconic ending theme of Guild Wars 2. With the recent introduction of precursor crafting, I thought I’d update the lyrics to better reflect the legendary challenges faced by today’s players.

Fear not Twilight:
   There is now another way.
When prices fall,
   Slightly less you will pay.
Unlock all the collections,
   Do a world boss train and you’ll see.
You’ve lit up some little squares.
   These are your first steps to the pre.
Fractals and some old events
   Help your scavenging progress steadily.
Then open the Trading Post
   And see that we all want…
Soft Wood and Deldrimor…
   Crafting for Nevermore.
 
Fear not Twilight:
   It will be yours someday.
It’s a great sword,
   And with Dusk, you’re halfway.
And you can always respawn.
   Tell the map with the first sight of Dawn.
Dawn’s just a heartbeat away.
   H.O.P.E.‘s just a Sunrise away.
 
Combine your new precursor,
   Mystic Clovers, and Bloodstone Shard.
Runestones, gifts, and ecto forged
   With the trophies and lumberyard.
Tier 3 Astralaria
   Gently grieving in captive misery.
Farm a stack of Ley Line Sparks
   And your H.O.P.E. is now charged up.
Striving for Eternity…
   So incrementally!
 
Fear not Twilight,
   Unless you’re Free-to-Play.
See those footfalls
   And the star overlay.
And you can learn from the Norns.
   Just as long as you bought Heart of Thorns.
Dawn’s just a spreadsheet away.
   H.O.P.E.’s just a Sunrise away.

I just saw this on the GW2 Tumblr. It’s glorious! Also inspirational. Suddenly I want to work on a legendary (HOPE most likely).
