Guild Wars 2

Hail everyone,

i’ve been working on a project of a kind of Tarot Cards that could exist in the universe of Guild Wars (remember that cutscene in GW:Factions when an old woman predict Shiro’s future ?)

So, as i sometimes take commissions and draw for pleasure, my deck project is (very) slowly beginning to take shape. Time for me to show a bit of it.

The Cards 0 to 6 will be for the 6 gods and a little surprise…
So my count for player characters begins at VII.

The project is inspired by The Malazan Book of the Fallen, an incredible dark fantasy book saga. Hope you’ll like it.

Are you going to do a card for each class? A mesmer card would be awesome.

Hnnng, staff. It needs an overhaul. Not my favorite weapon for mesmer.

Well, who knows, maybe i’ll re-do one of my mesmer one day after all (did one card of the 1st version of this project back then, you can find it on my YT channel, sword/sword sylvari male mesmer), or get a commission from a mesmer

You say sword/sword sylv male and then my sensei comes to mind. Chaos loves sw/sw set up. (He’s mean with it too…)

So, hypothetically speaking, what would commission rates be like for something in this style?

Hi Venthus, for this particular project, i took some commissions, others where drawn for dear friends and some will be gifts to players of the GW2 community who have been very dedicated to creating in game or out of game events and the like. Well… Grenth didn’t really have to do anything to get his card, being a god and all…

But i’m loosing track. For the commissions, i took 350/400g. For this project i meet the character in game and listen to their story, and the way they tell it to me. From this i create the corresponding card and house affiliation for the character.

If you’re interested in this project, don’t hesitate to pm me on the forum or in game.

That’s a steep price for a commission. Do they come colored or stay black and white?

The whole point of this serie is to stay in this form.

I take commissions outside this project, in colors. I will soon create a post with some of them, but since some of that stuff is to be presented for a major project at the end of the month, i can’t release them for now.

Ok, the only reason I asked about color was because, regardless of if it was in series or not, that seemed like a bit much for black and white. I look forward to your other information though. =)

Those are awesome and if I had 400g I would totally make a commission, alas I just have 140g. Hell, if I had the money I’d make commissions for all my characters with this design…

Hope I’m not the only one looking forward to seeing an Abaddon and Dhuum cards.
