I can contribute some art. There’s a link to my deviantART in my sig, the commissions and fan art folders would be the best places to check. :)
@Hahnchen
Thanks for the link. I haven’t decided what exactly I want to use yet, but your art is amazing. =D

Spidermanwells — what a great project! I know it takes a lot of time and thought, but what fun!
Hahnchen — love your art! I remember that cute little Asura from Wintersday. Please feel free to share more here on the forums, any time you like! (And thanks for offering to help with the tabletop project.)

Oh my! I am a sucker for pnp
Can i ask you a thing? I see you are making the game with a system of its own, but you do have experience on those?
What do you plan to do with it, to have a value to go for or just something to bash faces with?
Also, are you sure there aren’ t already systems up and running that can just be expanded for a gw2 setting?
Hey all, thanks for the responses.
So I have experience with pretty much all the D&D editions (except maybe the original), WoD, and Pathfinder. I have made several homebrew rule-sets along with their associated worlds, most recently a sci-fi setting that focuses on less dice-rolling, more hard numbers.
The approach I’ll be taking to this will be to emulate the systems from GW2 as we know them and translate them to pen and paper as best I can (with the fun of added dice rolling, because RNG is a must =P). You will only have access to a skill bar like GW2, specializations/trait lines are incredibly important to how you progress your character and unlock utilities.
D&D feats will make a sort of appearance in the form of achievements (we love our AP in my D&D group), but will be less prolific and have more unique effects. Weapon skills are a thing. All sorts of stuff.
After I finish with the base specializations and current elite ones, I’ll plan on adding my own (probably will dip in WoodenPotatoes collection of submissions for inspiration) with complete traitlines, weapon skills, and utilities. However, that will only happen once I’ve finished all the baseline stuff.
I know there are systems out there you could apply to GW2 already (Pathfinder, most assuredly), but hey, nothing has unique GW2 mechanics, and I want to represent that, complete with the dodge roll. From what I saw, the others who had been working on something as mentioned above have dissipated. This will just be something I work on in my free time anyways. I have a lot of free time at work as I’m constantly waiting for queries to run on my computer, so…. ;D
Anywho, working on the guardian now. Once I finish with the base power set and achievements, I’ll look into playing the system with a few of my friends (or anybody else who wants to help test, really) in order to get a better sense of balance. I’ll have to go back and edit power/achievos/etc.

Here’s an update for how trait-lines look in the book. This is the meat and potatoes, so it’s taking a while. But whenever I’m just waiting on a query/having nothing else to do I add up whatever I can.
It really is amazing how much work the devs have done, though. Just formatting/typing/creating ideas for this document is mentally exhausting. =)
