I hope you enjoy it! Leave a comment down below if you want to help me improve, I appreciate it a lot! (Like seriously, I want to hug anyone that gives me feedback)

I recommend taking closer looks to the Airships of the Aetherblade and inspecting the Airship at Fort Trinity, so you can Imagine the Airships better.

Fire from the Sky

The Air was dusty and cold as Tailen breathed in heavily. This wasn’t the first time he flew over the Crystal Desert, but it was certainly the first time he did it with Thousands of Dragon Minions to his feet and an entire Airship Fleet on his command. The sun had fallen behind the horizon hours ago, leaving everything in a uneasy darkness, only the stars in the sky seemed calm, observing the fight with interest. Tailen looked up, nervous, but ready for battle. He took a deep breath again to calm himself, align with the stars.
“Captain! We’ve reached the battle grounds and Kralkatorriks minions are nearly in range for the Bolter!”, Tailens Asura first mate Tecca shouted from inside of the ship.
“Get the Airships in Arrow formation, I want them to stay mobile and aware of the sky, we don’t know where Kralkatorriks Lieutenants are!”, Tailen shouted back, now fully concentrated.
“Aye Aye, Captain!”, Tecca ordered a white furred Charr to spread the order with the Inquest Communication System.
“Bolter in range, Sir”, the Gunner at the Control Panel of the Asuran Cannon floating above the Front Deck of the Airship said to Tailen, who stood at very front of the Front Deck, scouting out in the dark with strained eyes.
“Tecca! Turn the Ship starboard, but order the Fleet to stay on route!”.
“Acknowledged, Captain!”, The steering wheel was larger than the little Asura, but she never had problems turning the ship. She jumped, grabbed the wheel and pulled it down with her entire weight. Tailen didn’t give her the post for her physical abilities after all.
The Light Airship turned right smoothly in a matter of seconds and the Bolter Cannon had free field of fire.
“Cannon ready, Capt’n”, the Gunner said.
“Fire in the middle of the Horde to let them know we’re there”, Tailen commanded.
As an answer, the big, floating cannon fired a huge energybolt through the sky, it’s explosion illuminating the night on impact.
“Indirect hit, Sir, several kills”, the Gunner reported.
“Get her nose up north again and take Air of the Balloon, The fleet is going down to the action!”.

The Airship Fleet turned on their red lights and slowly moved towards the ground. 15 Ships emerged from the night sky, the glowing red coming closer. Captain Thackeray’s heart jumped at the sight. His friend did show up after all. He smiled for a second, then turned serious again and shouted with renewed courage.
“Our reinforcements are here! Maintain the defense and we’ve driven them off with the first daylight!”.
“This is too much, even for the vigil”, Tribune Brimstone grunted, meeting Logans eyes in the damp light of torches.

Eir Stegalkin, standing in the back, raised her voice. “The Pact Forces are tired and discouraged, we need to rally them again and fight together. That can buy us enough time for your friend to fully use his mighty fleet”.
“Good Idea, Let’s join the fun!”, Rytlock bared his teeth and let out a mighty roar.
The reunited Edge of Destiny grouped up and jumped down the stairs of the Pact Encampment into the inner yard. At the Gates of the massive camp, Vigil soldiers of the Pact had raised a phalanx with their shields to hold of the swarming minions, but they were tired, their arms struggling to hold up the shields, the legs slowly loosing grip on the ground.
“Soldiers, Rally to me! Victory is near, we just need to hold on!”, Logan shouted with a strong voice. It cut through the battle and even reached the fleet.

“Sounds like they’re having a bit of trouble, we better hurry”, Tailen said, rather talking to himself than to anybody else.
“All Ships are in range for broadside fire, Captain!”, Tecca shouted.
“Let’s see what these Minions are made of”, Tailen said as he left the Front Deck to go into the ships command deck.
“Crystals corrupted by Dragonmagic, technically”, Tecca put on the typical Asura voice, but Tailen ignored the obvious statement and made his way to the ICS Panel. He pushed a button on the display and shouted into the system
“All ships, fire at will!”
Like a sound of approval, thunder roared through the sky as 15 ships fired their broadsides and Bolters into the ground, covering everything in smoke and dust.
Further north of the fleet, in the Pact Encampment, the fighting soldiers and the members of edge of destiny looked up, as the cloud of dust came closer.
For a whole minute, nobody was able to see anything, not even the Dragons minions were able to hit a target. It was silent the entire time, nothing made a sound, everything in expectation of a attack from anywhere. But one thing broke the silence. From the south, a blasting roar cut through the air, louder than anything tyria had ever heard.
It was Kralkatorrik himself in his lair, feeling the threat and calling for his lieutenants.
The roar brought a mighty shockwave with it, blowing away the dust from the battlefield.
As the sight was cleared, everyone could see the damage the barrage had caused. Everything between the Encampment and the fleet had been shattered into pieces, only a few minions were running around aimlessly.
“Multiple confirmed hits, Capt’n”, the Gunner said with a smile.
“Thanks, I didn’t notice”, Tailen replied with a sarcastic tone, but smiled back. “Bring the fleet back up again, I think the dragon is up to something”.
But before anyone could obey the order, countless Crystal Dragons appeared from everywhere, glowing with Dragon magic, their roars so loud, it left many disoriented.
“We got hostile creatures inbound!”, Tecca shouted, her eyes wide with terror.
“Get the ships up in the sky immediately, we need to get in formation!”, Tailens voice sounded frightened, but determined.
The order was given through the ICS and all ships started to rise again, but not fast enough.
The Dragons where already over them, shooting down like gigantic arrows, cutting through everything in their path. Atleast three Airships were torn apart in a second, two more were smashed down by the tails of the beasts. Everyone could hear the terrified cries of the people falling to their death.

Tailen opened his mouth, trying the blast out an order of his lungs, but his breath was frozen. He looked around, only his eyes were able to move. Everything was covered in purple crystal around him, his entire crew seemed like frozen in time. Only for a few seconds, then the ship started to fall and as it hit the ground, flesh and metal shattered into pieces.
