Guild Wars 2

I recently contacted Arenanet through their support page as inquired as to whether or not they had any plans or desire to re-release GuildWars in an HD format and received a response today.

I was told that they were unsure about whether or not it was something they would do but they encouraged me to create a forum thread to see if the idea gained any momentum.

This is the thread where we can have our voices heard and bring about the re-release of such a beautiful and captivating experience that was GuildWars.

For those of ya who haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy the original GuildWars recently or even in its heyday, the game was a work of art. A true Da Vinci in the gaming world.

If ya have played GuildWars and would love to play it again in HD, a simple upvote is all that is needed but please feel free to comment what it is that ya loved so much and why it would be the greatest re-release and remaster ever!

I personally loved the storylines as well as the elite skill capturing and multi-class character system. Ranger/Necro and Warrior/Monk FTW!

Same. The double-classing, the storyline, and the racial introductions and identities were much stronger in GW1 than they are now. Of course, it’s understandable, but you can’t help but miss it a bit. And then there were the lands; I remember vividly the Christmas morning my brother and I got Nightfall. We were stunned by the vivid blues and rich golds of Elona, though he still preferred the gleaming jade and swaying bamboo of Cantha. Personally, my heart is and still will be in Ascalon — that ancient city whose beauty is forever preserved in its Pre-Searing state. If it were to gain an HD remaster, I would be thrilled. For me, GW1 is more than nostalgia, it is family.
