How much should I charge?
Having sampled most of the currently active commission threads, I’d put an estimate around 20-25g for a painted bust.
Depending on how much time you’re investing, it might not hurt to create a rate based on the time you’re putting in.
The two artists whose digital painting style is most similar to yours (duckgirl and merope) both charge 30g per character headshot, are both currently swamped with requests, and at least in duckgirl’s case, going to raise their price.
I would assume you will also be offering headshots only and if your contest thread was any indicator, you’ll likely be swamped as well. As such, I would recommend 50g minimum per piece and an additional 100% per character included in the same piece.
Also, don’t be afraid to change your prices after you’ve started to account for demand, personal time, in-game financial goals, etc.

If you’d had shown me Jaea (the Sylvari for those keeping score at home) and told me I owed you 100 gold for that, I would have thought that was a fair price.

As much as I’d love to agree with some of the above comments, please do keep in mind that not everyone has hundreds of gold to spend. Or even a single hundred.
Considering all other artists prices in here and the quality of your art I would say that I wouldn’t go below 30g and I wouldn’t go above 50. I think that would be fair price, but in the end the pricing is totally up to you.
If you go to low you will end up with never ending wave of customers (see duckgirl’s case) and if you go too expensive you may find it hard to find any.
Just my 5 cents.
Just remember not to sell yourself short, and consider the time you’ll be putting into these pieces. Sure not everyone will have hundreds of gold to spend, but your time is valuable. You can’t afford to waste it because someone doesn’t have more than 25g to spare.
To me, 50g doesn’t seem like nearly enough. Especially when you consider what that equals in real-world money. With that quality of work, I certainly wouldn’t go below 50g, but like others have said it might be difficult to go too far above. Either way, good luck!
