Hey folks,

A couple of months ago I built my first web app: http://gw2toolbox.com. I got a lot of great feedback that I incorporated and I was mostly happy with the result except for one thing: I HATE alt-tabbing out of GW2 to check a web page.

Naturally, I had to do something about this, so I taught myself iPhone programming and built a timer app. I added a couple of features I really wanted but didn’t see in any other apps like zoomable maps, Heart of Thorns and Dry Top events on the same list as the other world bosses, waypoint codes, and daily achievements. Of course, it also supports notifications and disabling the lock screen. Now I NEVER have to alt-tab! Bwhaha!

Ehem.

Anyway, I’d really appreciate it if you folks could take a look here (it’s free) and let me know what I can do better so I can improve as a programmer. I’ve personally found the app super useful and I hope you do to.

The usual cavaets apply. I did my best to find and squash all the bugs, and I’m pretty sure there’s nothing terrible lurking in the app. However, if you do find a bug, PLEASE let me know so I can take care of it.

About the ads:
Yes, there are ads. Eventually I do want to turn iOS programming into a career and figured it’d be good to get some practice with how to do ads in an app correctly. Hopefully they’re not too big a turn off and if you find the app useful you can toss a buck my way to make them disappear forever.
