There’s something about having 26k hp, 2000 toughness and doing 1.5-3k hits / 6k crits on thieves while stunning them for 12 seconds that makes playing a Warrior wonderful (http://www.twitch.tv/defektive/b/334806954).

I tried other classes and each time I come back to my Warrior because I love it so much.

Who else loves their Warrior as much as I do and why?

Because it’s a warrior. For me it’s all a style thing. The archetype just pleases me.

Thieves/Rogues/Assassins are invisibility ganker sissies
Guardians/Paladins hide behind divine powers and “gods” doing their work for them
Mages… Dress wearing finger wagglers relying on cosmic powers to do their work for them

Warriors though, they rely on the strength of their arm and their fighting skill to take on all challenges. Like a man, like a soldier.

Yeah it’s a video game and there’s no real coorelation between a class and any sense of honor or bravery and all that but it’s still just a satisfying archetype for me on a basic psychological level.

I do the same in FPS’s too though. I respect the players skill at piloting/vehicular control, turrets, etc but I will always play a ground pounding assault trooper. Down in the thick of the battle, just a trooper and his gun/knife going against the tanks/helis/jets/snipers etc.

Tried just about every other class but can barely get them to level 5 before thinking, “this sucks, I’m going to go play my warrior some more”

I love warrior simply because it is the best support class.

Healing shouts that remove debuffs from all allies in a huge AoE? On top of the game’s best CC? Awwwwww yea.

WoW players cry about Warriors not 1 shotting things, but that is because they are narrowed minded. Warriors are supposed to be the leaders of the battlefield, and they are just that.

Notice how this class doesn’t get touched by ANet in patches? It is because they did it right the first time. YAY!

I love my warriors. I started off as a Guardian, then rolled a Thief and have stuck with Warrior since it’s creation. There seems to be so much more build diversity and ways to play with a Warrior compared to my other two classes that it keeps me perpetually interested in it.

Are there things I’d like changed with the class? Sure. Who doesn’t want to change things (or even fix some bugs). But all in all I’m happy with the class design.

Anyway, I love my Warrior because it seems to be the only class that’s brutally “in your face”. Every once in a while I enjoy relaxing into a ranged role, or running support, but at the end of the day I want to be up in the grits. I also have a personal affinity to two-handed swords, which warriors tend to be able to wield.

I roar around a battlefield slamming my hammer around, knocking people down, crippling people with sword throws, charging around, hacking and slamming my way through enemies. What other class gives me that sensation? None. I played a Guardian to level 31, with some sPvP and WvWvW mixed in, and although I initially thought I might appreciate a more “hybridized” class, the fact is that I don’t. I ran a few tests on a Thief, and although I love watching others play a Thief that bounces in and out of combat, it just doesn’t quite do it for me.

Whatever happens with Warriors in the future, I’ll be playing one. I don’t care how much dodgey Thieves and Mesmers annoy me, the feeling of catching one and pounding him/her into mist is more than enough to counter any frustration I feel when I’m fumbling around doing the wrong thing in a fight against one.

meh, not really. I like the warrior, but I don’t love him just because the warrior playstyle is really pretty simple. I feel like no matter what I do, I can do excellent damage, CC or support. And that’s fine. I really like classes such as the engineer that require you to think about every move, unless you want to just deal piddly damage

After playing a runemaster and healer for years in DAoC I was ready for something more in-your-face, and the fact that a warrior can be good at both melee and ranged I think is what really lured me into the class and eased the transition. I really don’t find the mesmer more complicated than a warrior, in fact it’s much easier to play my mesmer, but in the end you are all just pressing buttons in front of a screen, so I believe the class is what you make of it and what is fun for you.

I have a Warrior, a Guardian and a Thief. And I hate my Thief, so you can guess how I like to play.

I don’t see how a mesmer or elementalist is any harder. I actually have an easier time playing both these classes than I do with my warrior. Why do people play magic ranged classes? Because THEY ARE (L2grammar) easy and for kids. Skilled players play warriors.

Agreed. Non-Warriors should not be allowed to bask in our glorious thread of love for our class.

I love warriors! They’re so faceroll and when another class comes towards me I can close my eyes and turn around, fumble a few keys and instantly win! It’s amazing. I could have the worst build possible and lv 1 gear and still destroy someone else with my HB. I also love how no matter how badly I stuff up my combos, I’ll still win! It’s amazing. They should make us even more stronger so we’re close to godly.
