Dominium
The oldest and most powerful faction among all. Masters of domination magic. Their powerful abilities allow them to use very strong suggestion, control and evocation of emotions. In result they can control actions of chosen target by preventing it from doing something or even reverse action to target itself.
The nature of these skills quickly made them the ruling faction. For many centuries, from the total domination stops them only their own ambition. Internal disputes and constant struggle for influence and power keeps the fragile balance.
Ritualists are prophesying that there will come a day when ‘Dominium’ will be ruled by a Mesmer so strong that the faction will shake the pillars of reality and the world order.
Their domain is Tyria.
Elizium
The second oldest faction. Masters of illusion magic. They can control the perception, the cumulative effects can lead to strong emotional reactions. Their abilities are not only the constructs, illusions, visions and images that change the reality. They can act with direct effect on the brain causing confusion and a strong curvature of the perception of their actions, the environment or time. The second strongest faction, which has enormous power, but much smaller ambitions than Dominion. Strong individuals, devoted creators, artists, sometimes lost inside their own minds, inner worlds. The oldest mesmers from this faction due to the nature of this magic, have sometimes problems with the perception of reality, schizophrenia, or even madness.
Their domain is Tyria but their very often travel arround the world, alone or with good company, never finding place for long.
