Guild Wars 2

So here’s the back story:
I recently got a in-game instrument.
I’m not a fan of macros.
I can’t find tabs.
Gw2mb "exports" tabs, but gives you no idea of tempo.

So the question is, if i started to give gw2mb tabs tempo and combine them with other good tabs (looking at yours, MidnightX) into one thread, would you use it? I have seen other threads like this but they either
A. Got buried under mounds of other threads,
B. Didn’t clarify what instrument the tabs were for,
C. Were full of broken links, or
D. All of the above.

Tl;dr - would you use an indexed, well made list of tabs?

There may already be a buried thread on it, but we could do with a more concise source for all musical related stuff – perhaps we need a Wikia project for GW2 music – somewhere people can all easily contribute and go to for anything music related.

That would be great.
I have been looking for tab on specific songs to play on my harp and flute but couldn’t find it.
A Wikia for GW2 music with user friendly way to find specfic song tabs would be much appreciated.

But honestly, as a kind of new player, I didn’t know that much about the music in Guild Wars 2, but indeed it looks very interesting. Even for the people like me who doesn’t know a lot about intruments in GW2 (or didn’t wanted to get involve before).

So, to answer to the OP question :

Tl;dr – would you use an indexed, well made list of tabs?

Yes, I would probably use it, or at least check it often.

I vote for a standardized system of tabs: that is:

Notes inside parenthesis “( )”, are supposed to played in the high octave. Notes inside brackets "[ ] ", are intended to be played in the low octave. Note that this octave
Notes inside squiggly brackets, “{ }”, are meant to be played as a chord (at the same time). Note that this is not possible on most instruments.
Hyphens, “-“, and spaces, ” “, indicate short breaks in between notes.
A series of three periods, “…”, indicates the ending of a line, or a long pause. (This is most important!)
Notes with a star, “*”, are meant to be played very quickly.

Good! I’ll try to get some of my fellow members of Kingdom of the Stars [STAR] to help! we’re working on getting a VPS and a domain name, perhaps we can host something so we don’t have to deal with wikia :P
