Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone! I’m a 21 y/o student here in Toronto, Canada. Been a fan of GW since it’s first prophecy days when I was in grade 7 and use to play everyday. Never knew I would end up in the creative field as a career but currently studying game design but teaching myself art on the side.

Started art in the Summer of 2013 and was excited that I could try and make art for Guild Wars 2!! I will be posting my art here, it goes beyond fan art because I want to create new worlds/environments that are inspired by the game and would see my character travelling into.

Hopefully I can work hard, get noticed and the dream would be to work with ANET on Guild Wars thanks for stopping by!

I try to emulate the style and put my own abstract technique in it, hope you enjoy!

Your pieces are beautiful, but some of them feel like they lack clear focus. I am not a canvas artist, I write. I prefer to paint a picture with words. However, to my point, each of the loading screens in GW has a clear focus. Kessex has the ruined Nightmare Tower, Silverwastes is an open scene with a large airship slightly off-center, Gendarran features the Windmill and farms in the Cornucopian Fields, and Frostgorge has a Kodan sanctuary as its main feature, to list a few examples. I like the colors, but I get lost in your images. I don’t know where I’m supposed to be looking to see something.

Actually this has been pointed out to me several times, which comes to show I really need to work on my focal point in these pieces! I’m very glad you brought this up, this is now drilled into my head and will definitely focus on this on my next piece. Thank you very much!
