Over the last few weeks i’ve been developing some sims for the mystic forge to better view how it behaves in larger numbers and i have to say it’s been pretty fun.

Just making this post to share a website i’ve been working on which specifically sims the crafting of precursors in the mf. Please note that this is not yet completely finished and serves as a fun way to see what could happen if you invested insane amounts of gold in the mf. Once this is complete i will also add a sim for Mystic clovers and then who knows?

Feel free to check it out at:

and share your feedback in the comments section, here, or in game as Athrael Thunderborn. Thanks and happy simming!

website back in business!

Updates:
- The ‘about’ Section has been updated.
- A small guild wars RSS feed added in the front page.
- New feature: Users can now also choose the Mystic Clover option from the dropdown menu in the main page. Even though the feature is not completed, it will provide a list of materials that can be generated when a Mystic clover fails. The completed version will allow a simulation of Attempting to generate Mystic Clovers in the mf and will give some insight whether this is a viable way of generating income.

Enjoy and as always, feedback is appreciated

A few thoughts:
When simulating multiple times, it’s probably more useful to list the values as an average. (Easy enough to do mentally, since odds are it’s just x/100, but still.)

How about letting people modify base parameters? For instance, I base my own calculations on a .24% precursor rate (from rares) and a 19% promotion rate.

I’d think this is based on cycling the products through infinite iterations until you’re at <4 rare and <4 exo; is that correct? (For example, assuming a 0% promotion rate, 100 rares would allow for 32.75 attempts. […If I did my math right. It’s a bit late.])
