Tired of spamming chat or wasting money warping to a dungeon area to hope to find a group? Since there is no LFG tool atm, I decided in my boredom at work to quirky wip one up this morning and put it on my EC2 instance.

Simple to use, log in to FB, put in your class, level, server, and what your looking to do and hit start it will list people who are also looking for that dungeon “or any dungeon”.

DISCLAIMER:
It is probably buggy and I havent put any time into styling it for the desktop or mobile platform (but it should work for both right now in its ugly state). If everyone hates it I will stop working on it and will have only lose the few bucks for domain registration, if it becomes popular I will put a lot more time into polishing it and adding new features (plus mobile apps). Will this probably flop? Yea… but you never know.

Great Idea

Since its possible to group x-server. Is it necessary to pick your server? It would open up the number of people wanting to group if your not tied to your server.

Can’t say this is a bad idea but definitely better than the contacts method.

I might give this a shot once the authentication servers get back up.

A small suggestion would be to put some kind of comment field in there. For example, I’d like to put a small comment that I’d prefer Full Arah explorer runs instead of the “Shard Run” exploit runs, for example.

Honestly though, I kind of wished this was built into the game. It was bad enough I had to tolerate using GWGuru’s auction house system during the GW1 days … I’m not sure if I want tolerate using out-of-game tools just to get with times, if you know what I mean, right?

You currently have the players filtered based upon what server you choose?

Why did you do this? You can group with people from any server and join their server by right clicking their name.

By not even giving an option to see other server players you have introduced, for no reason, one of the major problems of the current LFG system.

I asked the same question.

But I don’t believe that tech (guesting) is turned on at the moment.

@Skaaz: It isn’t, as defined as joining another server and wandering around temporarily.

But what you can do currently is join someones party, enter the same zone as them, right click their name and click join.

This will transport you to their server for that zone. I’d suggest removing the filtering by server entirely to avoid people, like yourself, who have been confused about cross server dungeoning.
