Hey guys, I made a poll here:

I’m curious to see what the results will show. The rule is that you can only pick one, so if you had to pick one of those 10 options you’d absolutely love to see the most, which would it be? I know for me personally I’d ideally like all of them to be implemented.

I narrowed it down to ultimately what I’d wish for the most. If you don’t like any of the options or want something else, pick #11 which is ‘none of the above / something else.’

Feel free to explain your reasoning in the thread as well, as it’ll keep it bumped. ^.^

Would help if you actually mentioned what you were polling about in your OP.

Not going to click some random poll just to find out if I even want to click on some random poll to then fill it out – that’s what clicking on your thread was supposed to accomplish.

Couldn’t you just have made the poll on the forums instead?
It seems a bit silly to start by asking a question, link to an external poll and then expect people to post back with the reasoning behind their choice – you could’ve had your results in one easy to follow thread minus all the meandering about.

@StinVec – since you’re going to have a bitter attitude with me, then I will with you as well.

There’d be virtually no other way to do it other than to manually tally everyone’s votes via replies to the thread. In which case, you’d have to click on the reply button, type in what you want, click on post reply.

Ironically, you’re whining about having to click twice yet that’d be a lot less user input than the only other alternative.

Even more ironic, you posted a reply whining about having to click two times which takes more effort than doing so in the first place.

I’d have to manually edit each time someone voted, which takes a significant amount of my own attention and time as opposed to a pie graph that automatically updates every time someone clicks a checkbox and clicks “vote.”

I also don’t expect people to post anything in here – I merely stated that if anyone feels like elaborating on their decisions in the thread, it’s certainly welcome. That implies that it’s optional lol.

I went with option 11 as I would like options 1, 2, 4 (if it’s enjoyable), 6, 7 and 10.

Options 3, 8 and 9 I could take or leave and I don’t really play PvP enough for 5 to affect me.

Lol, funny how you grouped yourself up into the same category as that other person and assume it was directed at you when it clearly said at the top of my post that it was directed to them and not you.

It’s a forgivable mistake, but I suggest you read the reply that I directed to your post rather than the one I sent to the other person. Just because you asked me my reasoning behind why I chose to set up the poll the way I did happened to be the same thing that the other person was complaining about doesn’t mean that if I get defensive with them that you should believe that it was directed towards you as well.

You asked me a perfectly valid question, I gave you a perfectly valid response. The other person posted bitterly towards me, I responded bitterly towards them. If you wish to do the same then expect it back from me.

Understandable, and I don’t really PvP on this game much at all either but as to why I don’t I’d need to make another thread to go into detail. ;P

I felt the need to list it as an option because I wanted to provide more of a variety with options to choose from. Because I also livestream a lot and occasionally check to see what other channels / videos are displayed on the page for GW2, I also am aware of seemingly how many people are into PvP and WvW and why it’d be important to include these aspects of the game in the poll options.

This answer was mainly the reason why I asked that if you couldn’t have posted your poll in the forums instead as, from an observer’s perspective, the answers themselves don’t mean much unless you know what the original choices were.
Now, not everyone clicks random links and, bearing that in mind, should your poll ever be taken down, all that’s left are meaningless numbers and that doesn’t make for a good read, let alone something that anyone could take part in.

It’s a valid point, I don’t disagree with you. From personal experience, all polls that I’ve made in the past month are still up and the website is pretty reliable without immediately deleting them so the issue of that happening is pretty much non-existent. For what it’s worth, the poll will more than likely satisfy my curiosity at some point long before the poll will be removed when it inevitably happens.

Either way, the thread was moved to linksville which essentially means it’s pretty much never going to get looked at anymore. Oh well, gg forum moderator. :S
