Guild Wars 2

Are Guild Wars 2 assets (like class icons and skill pictures and stuff like that) protected by copyright and therefore cannot be used in merchandise without expressed consent from ArenaNet?

I wasn’t quite sure where to ask this. Sorry if it’s off-topic.
