Greetings comrades!

I am a tank guardian running the latest Altruistic Paladin spec, its so tanky that I can literally tab out of most fractal fights. Since soloing things this way takes actual hours and sometimes days, I’m in search of a fellowship of two to pewpew bosses down and make mad cash!

Some facts about me:
- I play 20+ hours daily.
- Runs will be done 20+ hours daily.
- I’m looking for literally anyone who wants to tab out and make money.
- We don’t use a guild tag in our posts because we arn’t shameless pigs.
- I use skype and expect to hear you breathing.
- Must be on NA servers.

No one ever disagreed that they aren’t an option for “smooth, easy runs”. Thats exactly the point, easy to the point of being faceroll.

The thing people disagree about is being facetious about it, claiming it to be more efficient, reliable or skilled (all three have happened).

Yeah, might be a little funny, but at the same time it’s the attitude that’s making a mockery of this community. It’s sad and pathetic.

I agree that this can definitely turn off a newcomer and supports the prevailing opinion of this portion of the community, but there’s a good reason why serious PvE players promote DPS/zerker and nothing else. The time spent on that HotW solo should be enough of a proof to everyone. I bet noone watched this video past the first 2-5 minutes, now imagine playing like this every day. You would die of boredom, even with a full party.
Another reason is that playing defesinve setups lets you pick up bad habits, you are not forced to dodge/know when to dodge anymore and screw up badly when you switch back to proper gear.
I can definitely see one player out of five running non-meta gear and be very supportive and helpful. There are instances where having a dedicated healer/buffer can make things significantly easier for everyone at the cost of few sec/up to half a minute per run. My former guildie had a healer guard ready for these special occasions and we were taking it very seriously. But if more people go that route or bring these builds to an uncoordinated run, you will end up with runs looking like that HotW solo.

I’m afraid that making anything besides zerker good and rewarding to run would require fundamental changes in the game design. Changes that may even be impossible to make at this point. Every serious PvE player understands that and if someone like Card decides to demonstrate this in a funny way like this, I don’t take it as mocking anyone, I just enjoy it and have a good laugh.

Nobody said anything negative on the original thread by that guy that was actually looking for people.

If that guy wants to do Fractal runs with a healing guard, why should we care?
Sure, I would never do something like that myself, and it even made me chuckle a bit, but if he wants to completely ignore mechanics and use the safety net of a healing guard, let him

Also, I think there are plenty of players that can do back to back 50 trios without a problem, otherwise you wouldn’t even bother doing 3 50’s back to back

Skilled naw (does take an element of skill though). But I’ll repeat my challenge. Show me a video of 3 back to back 50 trios in 2 hours or less. Do that with a bunch of people that aren’t the extremely talented members of our community and I’ll shove my foot in my mouth. Reliability, consistency and efficiency are certainly terms I’d use for it considering my experience. Take Abe/Element/PurpleMiku( Just as example, plenty others at that level) and I bet they can show that up np, but outside those levels of players I highly doubt it. Skill is a factor that should be considered and with that comes ease of play. This community often ignores players limitations.

There are tons of casual teams selling fotm 50s running zerk comps. Tons of them do it in 30-35min average, depending on rolls. Including rolling. We do, too.

The only “toxic behaviour” I see is you discrediting a vast amount of unknown players the way you do in defense of a clerics guard who funnily enough also discredits them by saying things like “our runs are smoother, more efficient, quicker, take the same amount/more skill”.

I’m also pretty sure tons of these players that run fractals could easily record 3 50s trios within 2 hours. That’s if you disregard how long it takes to sell during some times ( it takes an average of 20+min to sell during my time, which is OCX prime on NA).
Wanna pay me 240g for those 3 trios? I’ll gladly record them. Because that’s what they’d be worth if you sold all spots, which is some people do.

I already have a ton of recordings with my potato PC of average 30min runs to boss finish and then an additional 20min to sell. I guess those wouldn’t count in your “challenge” though.
Oh, I’m also a casual, I play an alt class and I play it terrible, but at least I get punished for failing kitten, unlike clerics teaching you bad habits like “its ok not to dodge that”.

Being a fan of SNL, it makes me sad that some of the dungeon community members in this game get offended by satirical jokes that they had to report this post. Maybe its a cultural thing where satire only flies in america and not eu/ocx.

Ok, so, post struck a chord, and I ranted all night. My apologies Card.

Outsider, no one’s saying it takes the same and certainly not more skill, in fact it’s the opposite, it takes less skill and is more forgiving but you still finish quickly is all that’s being said. You can still die, and the idea is not everyone in defensive gear just a pillar guard, not a new idea, used to be considered the right way to do things, but it’s been dismissed and even demonized by the community on many occasions, and that’s why I reacted the way I did, it’s something that’s annoyed me about the community for a long time as obviously there’s strength in it.

And… wasn’t me who reported it, I like to keep my rantings in the trash can as much as possible
