Hey guys!

I really like GW2, and I’m sure you all do too – but somehow it doesn’t attract me as other MMO RPGs did in the past. Now I think this is because there is relatively little to fight for in terms of gear or upgrades. Of course there are the legendaries, but they are a step beyond what I was looking for. legendaries require a bit too much effort, and that is not something I am willing or able to put into gaming right now.

Anyways, I made a little video about this and was wondering how you guys feel about this topic.
Please let me know!

In my opinion, the problem with Gw2 is that it’s missing the challenge other mmo’s have. What I think would fix this? Possibly revamp dungeons, or add in larger player cap dungeons (raids) to the game. Make them challenging for those semi-hardcore/hardcore players; Add more boss mechanics and? phases, not just health and damage. Rewards? Satisfaction from downing something for once, and really kitten weapon and armor skins that are difficult to get and REALLY make you stand out.

I also think they did legendary weapons wrong in this game. There should have been some epic story line or lore behind them. Right now whoever has the most time to farm materials or whoever has the most gold has one, and I think that’s just lame. I’m not bowing down to anyone who has one.

I do think that this game needs Raids. I agree with our guild that it’s not very guild friendly despite being called Guild Wars as not even mentioning Guild vs Guild, but you can’t have large party raids that get the whole guild involved in PvE. Everything is shattered into 5 person parties w/o any cohesiveness. The Commander book is virtually useless as there is no Commander party chat either so a guild having a Commander book is almost useless.

Im all for adding more mechanics to bosses and such. But i also don’t know if the current system is lacking. I think many high level mobs do have good mechanics to them. Try soloing certain Champions or fight in a team at high level Fractals.

Legendary weapons is probably the most hated topic for all gamers. Everyone wants one, but it’s unreachable except for the top 5% of the population who have exploited or played 7 days a week since launch. The method of getting the precursor through gambling hundreds to thousand gold is a joke. I rather know that if i killed a monster 10,000 times I can get it than spend 600 hours to earn the gold I need to buy one

We were in a party with someone who had a Legendary sword and foefire weapons, and commander book and yet he sucked at platform jumping and combat and was always dead. This person obviously spent real money to do gem to gold conversions because all his gear indicated he should be more experienced in basic gameplay than he actually was.
