That isnt roaming. That is a mob without a purpose. Roaming is solo. Mobbing is what this is. Just running around with a large group (not zerg size) and just killing random things.
Kind of like how 20+ man guilds in one blob classify themselves as “havoc”.

In most video we are a group of 5. I never exceed a group of 10. Most roaming group are really mobile (Warrior, Engi, Ele, Thief, Mesmer). Us we go to the opposite and we are build to fight. Roaming isn’t just for solo.

We really need an elementalist. One of our member just rolled and geared his ele. I’ll take the ele D/D for a group of 5. If we run 8+ I’ll switch ele into staff bunker. The ele will use rune of boon duration, so he could give almost perma protection and regen to group.

Our optimized setup for the core group (5 players)
2 Guardians shout heal
1 Guardian DPS
1 Warrior Shout/DPS/Immobilize
1 AoE DPS (Engi, Necro, Ele, Guardian)
But in reality, the composition varies depend who is online.

Triple bunker is the 5 man meta, typically.

If you are running triple bunker in a five man it is because you need the crutch, not because it is effective. I agree with Mask, way to many guardians, poor comp for roaming play where you need to adjust to a wide variety of situations. The comp is more like a 5 man GvG group than a roaming group.

When I build the compo of this roaming group it was to fight 10-15 guys. The worst ennemy in WvW when you fight outmanned is conditions. Be sure to remove enough condition and that’s why I bring 2 guardian shout, because they are the best to remove condition in AoE and bring really good support. Everyone in the group is speced for the group. The only one that get some selfish abilities is the DPS Guardian. He’s far from a tank and get one of the biggest burst.
There is different way to roam in WvW. There roaming group that like to hit and run. There is roaming group that like to troll and stealth. There is roaming group that are build to fight. Make your selection.

They’re a very skilled “havoc” WvW guild…
As you can see in the video, they’re causing all kinds of general havoc and mayhem.
I have put in a suggestion to Oxford to change the definition of “havoc” in the dictionary to, “#4 #1 wep swap #5 #2 healing breath thing.” I’ll let you know their decision once they reach it.
This reminds me of my guild. Have you heard of [RIOT]? We’re a small roaming WvW guild that specialises in theory crafting the best cheese builds and streaming us condi bombing every Asura or Charr that crosses our path.

Since when is 20 people a blob? Maybe in T8. Most WvW guilds T4+ can run 20+ on any given night. That’s a good GvG number, unless you specify you are doing small 10-15 man / havoc teams imo.

The only reason I will like to run a guild premade 20+ is to do some zerg breaking (40+) or break the karma train.
The AoE limit (5 target) make it hard for a group of 10- to wipe a zerg of 25+
