Where do Gw2 sites get all the images from?

As the title says, where do Gw2 community websites get all their images from? Sites like metabattle seemingly have all the sigils, skills and traits as separate files. Where do they get them from? Is it direct rip-off from the client or there is some expanded fansite kit that allows you to get these?

You can also find the pictures for most of everything on the wiki in PNG format
