So this MBTI personality type test has been floating around for a while and I saw people had made charts for it that correspond the various personality types with characters from various franchises. Then noticed there wasn’t one for Guild Wars 2! So I made one for fun

I think these tests should be taken with a grain of salt but seeing as your IFJ results are all in the 10% mark it does indicate that you’re sort of that but not quite that either as you said.

No I mean I’m clinically diagnosed as hyperemotive by multiple (neuro)psychologists as part of other things, so I’d tend to trust that rather than an online test. ;-p
I tend to be introvert too (well it has been clearly overdramatized compared to other things, in this test), maybe does that lower the “emotionnal” part when I say I tend to have troubles expressing it correctly.
Also, not sure what the “perceiving” thing means…

I don’t see any character in this game as having my personality type. Even the hero acquires this SJ persona over time as the Commander that is far from who I am (that’s OK, though, because they are my characters, but not necessarily how I am.) Since I know my personality type, I didn’t take the test (no offense intended) but am curious about what character is what (because I don’t think some types are very well represented if at all.)

Come to think of it, NFness is very well represented by some of the tenets of Ventari’s tablet (though not all of them), so that’s why many Sylvari do end up appearing as such to me. “Follow your dream” and “all things have a right to grow” are VERY important in my own life, to the point they almost define who I am and what I believe in (it is also why it’s very offensive to me when people mock others when they don’t play the way they play, as if we were all the same and must identically enjoy GW2.)

I have no idea why Zojja is representing the “assertive, decisive, strategic and intelligent” entry. Not that it really applies to me, as i was rated as an INTJ, but…

She’s assertive yes, and decisive, but the fact that she spent most of the game crying and moaning at Eir shows that she has no interest in strategy (with regards to saving the world against the dragons) and that she isn’t as intelligent as the game suggests. IMO she is stubborn, and ruthlessly determined to prevent Destiny’s Edge from working cohesively, as she’s constantly complaining. Zojja is illogical, since she would rather let the world be pillaged by dragons because of a hissy fit that happened during wartime (does she really think that her friends are immortal during a war?)

The fact that she is pretty much dragged through the story kicking, crying and screaming shows that she’s not fitting to represent “The executive”.

TL;DR: Zojja shouldn’t be placed as the executive since she acts like a child.

I actually kind of liked her too. Granted, I felt they could have done a lot better with her, I felt the player and Scarlet really needed to get off to a worse start and perhaps even really build a rival. I know she was just the pawn for Act 1, but I would really like to have an arch-nemesis in this game that taunted you and was really there rather than some man behind the curtain the whole time.

I mean, there is a reason that some of the most famous villains (The Joker, Sephiroth, Wesker, Zinyak) and even Guild Wars villains (namely Shiro and Minister Reiko) seem “better” than other villains and that’s because they build a bit of a relationship with the player – they build a protagonist/antagonist relationship with some real direct confrontation before the “final showdown.”

The difference between Judging and Perceiving is a difference in the end goal of thought processes. Ps are more apt to explore all the potential possibilities of a point of thought, while Js are more apt to seek a defined, precise, singular outcome.

Every character has good and bad qualities. Like Scarlet might have turned evil she’s actually very smart and innovative. Zojja is definitely the intelligent, outgoing and get things done executive type. Unfortunately when that stubbornness and decisiveness gets applied to the wrong thing it’s easy to turn that efficient leadership into being disruptive and uncooperative.

I don’t think any personality is immune to being an idiot in one way or another. In Zojja’s case that’s being stubborn and a whiner but with everything else she does she excels and I felt she matched that personality type pretty well outside of the Destiny’s Edge tantrum.
