First off, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all! May you have a wonderful season!
This seasonal feeling of ‘doing good’ always hits around this time of year. And I’ve noticed it among the player base of Guild Wars 2. As a matter of fact, upon sending someone a gift earlier today, they reciprocated with a gift of their own to me. Seeing such kindness, I figured “Well, why not keep it going?”
And noticing how people are trying to find specific items, and farming till their fingers are about to fall off, the idea drew itself from the ether, a.k.a. from some insane thought.
Let’s play a guessing game! The game is simple:
Below is a screenshot of my Norn. She is wearing three colors, which I’ve grayed out. The contest is:

The prize for the first person to correctly guess is the Wintersday Trio plus extra, which in other words are the following items:
One (1) Ho-ho-tron mini
One (1) Unbreakable Choir Bell
One (1) Endless Toymaker’s Tonic
One (1) Fancy Holiday Tonic Cabinet
One (1) Full Stack of each tier of Snowflakes
One (1) Full Stack of 250 Giant Presents
Fifty (50) Dragonite Ores Ugly Sweaters

Rules:
Simply put, guess the three colors my Norn is wearing. The attached first image has the grayed out portion of my character’s waredrobe. You may pick any three (3) colors from the list of known colors at:
She is wearing three of the colors from the wide known range of tones. In fact, three of 457 known colors.
What will make this difficult is that a guess, to be a winner, must have the three (3) colors in the same guess!
Each guess involves three tones. For example:
“Midnight Blue-Rawhide-Rust”
You get ten guesses (10), which are up to 30 colors!
To play, send me in-game a MAIL (not a private message or post on this forum) with your guesses. Include your ten guesses, each guess with three colors. You may try as often as you wish!
If you want to increase your odds, by sending me fifty (50) presents (of any size), your color choices will include all the colors immediately adjacent to your selected tones. In most cases, this will form a box of 8 colors around your picked tone. Image two shows an example of such.
By sending one hundred (100) presents (of any size), your color choices will include all colors that line up vertically and horizontally within the batch of your color choice. The third image shows an example of this.
Winning Condition
As already mentioned, the winner will be the first person to correctly name all three colors in the same guess. It will not count if you pick 30 colors, and the three colors are correctly named but spread out throughout your ten guesses. Choices posted on this forum, or sent in “private message” do not count.

Q: But what if there isn’t a winner?
In case no one gets the three colors, the next tier will activate. In this case, the first person to name two (2) colors correctly in the same guess gets their choice of two of the following: Ho-ho-tron mini, Unbreakable Choir Bell and/or Endless Toymaker’s Tonic.
Q: Until when will this contest be?
Until January 2nd of 2015. The winner will be announced after this date. No clues to color choices made beforehand will be mentioned, nor if someone has won, till after this day.
Q: I guessed right! Why aren’t the items mine?!
If you notice, it’s the FIRST person to guess right. If I had more items of each, I would glad donate to more winners, but I only have the one Ho-ho-tron, unfortunately.
Q: What if I feel like donating?
Then do so! If you feel the seasonal spirit, and want to up the ante (such as providing a Wintersday Red Musical Bell case hint, hint), send me a message in-game, with the item and heading of donation. When the contest finishes, I will include your name as the provider of the item in question!
Q: What if things go wonky?
Gremlins do like to appear from time to time. Should something go out of whack, like the mail system not delivering all the messages, then we will switch over to forum posting. There is always a solution, we just have to look
Q: Why the screenshot of the character being grayed out?
Someone might say that the answer was changed at the last minute because someone guessed right. If you notice, there are active players in the back ground. Say hello everyone I will provide the same image with those players in the same place, with the grey removed when the contest is over so everyone may see the color choices themselves.
