Woodenpotatoes.
There are lots of people in love with the lore (there’s a whole forum for it x.x)
And yet I heard that he ragequitted because of the lore. And even then, he often gets his facts wrong.
Loving a product doesn’t get you a job with the makers of the product anyways. You got to be able to improve it.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
…move to general discussion since this post is fan related, not lore related?

Mhh as far as I know he is going to release lore videos about Cantha soon. But yeah he does make mistakes frequently. I commented on that often, but at some point I didn’t bother with it anymore.
His mistakes are minor but here’s thing; he does his best to describe and tell the lore and for that, it’s pretty cool. He doesn’t cover certain things and he goes too in depth into others but in general, I would give it a 93%. Not perfect.

He didn’t ragequit.
He just finds the GW2 lore to be less immersive and not as well written and thought out as the GW1 lore.
<3 Woodenpotatoes. Even just for his accent if nothing else.

And then he stopped making videos because of that (so I heard). Sounds like ragequitting. :P

He put out a teaser video yesterday (or the day before) announcing his upcoming Canthan law video series.
He’s also still playing, as confirmed by his twitter account.
It’s not ragequit if you’re still playing. :P
People can come back to the game after ragequitting, ya know. But w/e. It ain’t worth arguing over. Nor do I even give half of a kitten in care (I’ll let you guess if I was censored or not :P).

He didn’t ragequit, he simply stopped making videos because there wasn’t much to do with Guild Wars 2 and it’s lore at this point of time, but it’s true that he wasn’t that fond of the personally story.
He didn’t stop playing, he kept doing PvP and such stuff, but didn’t really bring PvP videos into his channel.
Point is…
This post is unrelated
Understandable, Farzo. GW1 had several expansions and many years to build up the lore it does. GW2 is not only using most of that same lore found in GW1, but has had relatively little time to flesh out it’s own story.
And a man who trusts no one is a fool.
We are all fools, if we live long enough.”

Problem with GW2’s story is that its pretty much, “How are we going to kill the dragons? How are we going to kill the dragons??! Oh Duhhh!! Really big airship. The end.” Its pretty bad. Also Treherne sucks.
Except for the first 20 levels of the personal story, or levels 30-48 which focus on political and minor racial plights (the latter just happening to deal with Elder Dragons – some by chance (grawl, skritt), some because of (hylek)).
It’s not all “how are we going to kill the dragons” – most of it is actually “we need to stop bickering so we can go kill the dragons” – and that still ignores 30-40 levels worth (just shy of half the personal storyline). And that second half is more of “let’s go take on a dragon!”.
