Hello WvW players,
please check out my WvW live map and stats website gw2wvw.org.
It provides the current objective states, cached on the server and updated every 30 seconds, buff timers (showing time and a white ring around the objective), live ratings/rankings, guild claims and it analyses the focus between the servers. You can zoom in the different battlegrounds by clicking them on the map. The map height adapts to the window height. A cookie saves your region and tier selections.
Client-side it updates the match data every 10 seconds and the complete rankings every 5 minutes.
If the API is offline, the website manages it and retries automatically. It also notices the WvW reset and reloads automatically to update the matchups, the server retrieves the new matchups and rating data from the GW2 website.
The focus analysis works as following: Each server has 2 focus counters for the other 2 servers. All maps are divided into thirds of objectives belonging to one of the 3 servers, some objectives are neutral like Stonemist Castle, or some camps on the borderlands. If now an objective is captured, and the objective does not belong to the server capturing, it counts up the focus on the victim server considering the value of the objective (camp=1, tower=2, keep=5). The neutral objectives are not considered.
The focus bars show the focus on the 2 other servers percentage-wise. The focus is counted the whole week long and reset on WvW reset.
I know that there is already Millenium with a map and buff timers, but I have to clarify that I had both my live map and the buff timer idea already in development, before appearing on Millenium.
I hope you enjoy it and wish you good luck on the battlegrounds!

Very nice. I like it!
Very nice. I like it!
Thank you!
As one can see right now Vizunah Square and Riverside are extremely focusing on Baruch Bay. So the focus analysis provides hard facts, in the forums the losing servers always claim “we lose just because of double focus” but usually the focus is very balanced at the end of the week.
Ya, very nice. I might swap to this over mos. I really like the live ‘focus’ concept.
Further on this sort of topic as you mentioned MOS. MOS has another page for history and medals. Medals are currently only based on tier 1 matches. I think it would be cool to build up a ‘personality’ of a server based on some of these stats plus your focus concept. Some possible calculations you could make would be
- Aggregate focus for a match, over-time for all matches versus a particular server, and/or over-time for all matches when ‘favored’, ‘underdog’, or middle tier
- Look at placement when under ‘focus’. Does server X persevere or bend under the pressure?
- Look at server placement regardless of tier. Maybe server X always gets 2nd, regardless of rank in tier. Do they only rise to the level of their competitors when they should be winning, or do they focus on ‘underdog’ notoriously which allows them to get 2nd?
- etc
Just some thoughts since you seem to be looking at different ways of analyzing server play style – would be really cool to take that concept even farther than just a live reading.

These are really good ideas! I will think a little bit about how to put that into practice. Long-time focus on servers and putting the focus in relation to scores or rating evolution at the end of the week would be nice. Analysing the participation in double focus would be possible, too – or better: how much percent focusing on higher rated servers and how much percent on the weaker ones…
I will turn to it when I have enough time, anyway the focus data are already collected and archived on resets, so that I can use it later.
Thank you for these nice ideas.

Ok ty for this program very nice. But you say: “Riverside is focus the BB”. I say Vizunah is focus 2 server: Riverside + Baruch Bay. Look on Midday. In Baruch Bay is Siesta and Vizunah have 24/7 60 ppl. on all map´s. Idk why you say: “Riverside focus Baruch Bay”.
Sry we deff the Homekeep and idk, why didn´t deff the keep on Baruch Server. Look we are rank 8 Server vs. rank 4 vs. rank 1. Its normal. Riverside make point´s with 165. And we make + im ranking. We are lower than BB and Vizu.
Look at the top where I explained the focus analyser. The focus value says how many percent you do focus on which server’s territory. Anyway, this discussion should not be made in the API forums, I just mentioned this matchup as an example.
Added skip buttons.
This is going to be my new “live map”. Nicely done
Updated the website showing the ruin status on borderlands.
Added symbols showing who has the borderlands’ bloodlust buff.
A bit late but I changed the scoreboard to show information about the season points and rankings. I will change it back after this week and use it again if another season starts.
