This thread makes a very good point. The idea that you would have to get FSG map completion to unlock an adept tier trait is preposterous. Please read and heed.

Excuse me? Where in reddit/r/guildwars2 do people post about DPS meters and gear check programs?

The speedboost for engi is locked behind fgs completion? That seems a little harsh. I’ve been leveling a thief and is not been so bad. Though I did have to use quite a few of my scrolls to unlock his speed signet, that is not something new.

Not really, one of the complaints people had was that you just get given everything so quickly that you don’t feel a sense of progression.

Not really, one of the complaints people had was that you just get given everything so quickly that you don’t feel a sense of progression.

That’s the other side of things, this game doesn’t give players progression, most of everything can be achieved via gold, that’s why gold sellers are so rampant and why SAB, imo, their ‘best’ feature (TM skill based skins)

You can purchase all your traits anyway, no big deal. Also extremely cheap. But then, I’m mainly a wvw/sPvP player so what so I know

I agree. I dont have an issue with grandmaster traits requiring some heroic deed to get access to, but adept traits should have easy access to them. Nothing over level 40 required.

Pretty much this. I wouldn’t disagree with them locking GM traits behind something like lvl 80 map completion. Asking a lowby to do it though? Especially a lowby who is a new player, does not have a lot of gold or skill points, and doesn’t know any better when they get facerolled the second they step foot into a lvl 80 map at a low lvl? That’s cruel and unusual punishment.
