Guild Wars 2

Hi there,

Basically i am currently doing a degree (University for the Creative Arts – Farnham, BA Photography) and for one of my projects i want to create a website full of images of GW2 characters with the name underneath, what race and what profession. The website will then divide each character into groups and it will basically be a resource for people to look at the diverse character builds on GW2.

You may wonder what this has to do with photography and rightly so. My project title is Imagined community and i see GW2 as a community and want to show this via a website with images of all the diverse characters on it and it will be interesting for others to see and show GW2 players as a community as all the characters represent a real person.

Another idea i have had is to take screen shots of places after a battle has occurred, so say you’ve moved on from a battle in a world vs world, i would screen shot that place and then underneath i would like to put in text conversations had whilst being in battle, for a photographic reference, Joel Sternfelds on this site, except that was based in the real world and with real stories.

So if you would like to help me with my project by sending me a picture of your character with name, what race and what profession, or would like to help me with my other idea e.g tell me a place you have had a battle that i can then go back to and screen shot and tell me what conversations were had for example if you were on a headset speaking with your guild or from the text section in the corner that you remember or can bear in mind remembering.

I would be extremely grateful for any help as i love the fact that GW2 is a community and it would be nice to show this as work and to bring the idea of communities into the 21st century and to show my lectures!! (they are kinda tech dinosaurs!) I am loving getting into GW2 and is an amazing game. I really want to do something different with my Uni project and i really hope people will help me out.
