Who are you and what is this!?

Hi!

I’m Duke and on Saturday the 28th at 6PM GMT, my guild and I are hosting one of the biggest community PvE events GW2 has ever seen. We’ve held quite a few in the past, recent examples being the Stream Watching Party and Battle of the Five Armies. We’re good at what we do and look forward to hosting this next gathering.

Sounds cool, what’s going on?

The Pact has been shattered following the events in at the end of the second season of Living World. I challenge each of the Orders of Tyria to prove their worth. Priory… Whispers… Vigil… – now’s the opportunity to show your pride and participate in a great adventure.

Armies of the three Orders are starting out from each of their HQ zones, travelling across the land and completing challenges. This time though, we’re setting up some special tasks outside of the usual world bosses and jumping puzzles.

Each of the armies has a commander, deputy and assistant. I’ll also be flitting between each of the armies on the night to ensure everything is going smoothly.

How do I join?

That’s the simple part: Pick an Order and head down to the zone of their HQ – whether it be Lornar’s Pass for Priory, Bloodtide Coast for Whispers or Gendarran Fields for Vigil.

Once there, you need to whisper the relevant person to get you a taxi into the correct map:

- Priory: Vlupius Primus
- Whispers: Cybek
- Vigil: Biscuit Weevil

If you have any problems, feel free to contact me directly on Duke Witherheart, regardless of Order.

You’ll group up into parties with your fellow participants and head out on a quest like no other.

Any restrictions?

Yes – but only a few!

First, feel free to come on any character you like – of any level. It doesn’t matter if you’re level 8 or 80, because we run through Tyria without using waypoints, you won’t need to have done any world completion beforehand. Moreover, you will likely be carried along by the zerg anyway. This means that you can come even if you’ve technically not got to the Order stage of your Personal Story yet!

However, we do ask that you switch to a level 80 if possible towards the end, as we venture into the Silverwastes for the night’s conclusion.

Second, please note that this is in the EU only. Sorry US friends.

Mumble?

Yes, we will be using Mumble and will give out the server details on the night.

OK so we’re setting off at 18:00 GMT, but when will it end?

After a trek across Tyria, we’re thinking of combining all of the zergs in the Silverwastes at the end, around 10PM GMT.

Anything else?

Feel free to bring your friends but don’t worry if you come alone; we’ll have people to guide you on the night. You can also ask questions (or just post to say that you’re coming!) in this thread.

Great question.

It’s mainly because we now have access to a huuuuuuuuge Mumble server, which should serve better if we have loads of folks coming along. Plus, I think Mumble seems to work better for more people (less system resources).
