Howdy folks! Just a few short days until the annual MS Toga Party hosted by Gamers Giving Back with the help of an army of NA and EU volunteers. And oh. My. Goodness….we have a lot of goodies to give away but you gotta be in it to win it! Here is how you can participate…
GWEN Radio
Tune in to the radio show on gw-en.com where there will be trivia questions and donation blitzes. During the blitzes, for every $5 CDN donation you will have a chance to win a “Legendary” prize!

And if it couldn’t get any more awesome…if you donate $10CDN or more to the charity, you can also enter to win from our donation prize pool aka real life prizes!! One of the fantastic prizes up for grabs this year is….(drum roll please) a laptop! Oh yeah baby…but that won’t be all…there are loads more super cool real world prizes to give away.
If you donate $10CDN or more you can choose a number from 1-1000 – email your number choice and your IGN (this should be your account name with the 4 numbers), Home Server and current email address to donations@gw-en.com Full instructions for donating and entering the prize draw can be found here >http://toga.gamergivingback.com/index.html . Winners will have 3 months from the date of notification to claim their prize so please double check your entry to be certain you’ve supplied the correct email address and IGN.
In Game
Short on cash? No worries…you can still support our volunteers and maybe even win some loot by joining in the fun! PvP, Marathon, Costume Contest, Trivia and more! There will be activities throughout the event with lots of little freebies and prizes for participating or just showing up.
1v1 PvP Competition
If you’d like to enter the PvP competition, watch this space…website link coming soon where you can sign up on Saturday 16 April. For NA the signup page will be open from 1100 to 1200 CDT. For EU the signup page will be open from 1800 to 1900 (CEST).
NA TS Details & Photobomb Screenshot Contest
ATT will be providing a Teamspeak channel for NA Toga Party goers so do join us there. Details are ts.gw2attuned.org. Becky Brimstone will be streaming throughout the afternoon so if you can’t get in game, you can watch the festivities online.
If you are in game, find Becky Brimstone for a ‘photobomb’ selfie – hint: this will be easy if you are watching Becky’s stream. Tweet your Becky Brimstone photobomb screenshot with the tag #togapixna. 1st and 2nd prize winners will be selected from the best screenshots. One screenshot per tweet; you can enter as many times as you like. The contest is open from 1200 and closes to entries at 1530 CDT.
EU TS Details & Photobomb Screenshot Contest
GW2Community will be providing a Teamspeak channel for EU Toga Party people so do join in. Details are ts.gw2community.com. Django Zapp will be streaming throughout the evening so if you can’t get in game, you can watch the events online.
If you are in game, find Django Zapp for a ‘photobomb’ selfie – clue: watch his stream and you’ll easily locate him in game. Tweet your Django Zapp photobomb screenshot with the tag #togapixeu. 1st and 2nd prize winners will be selected from the best screenshots. One screenshot per tweet; you can enter as many times as you like. The contest is open from 1900 and closes to entries at 2230 CEST.
Song Requests and Radio Shout Outs
Lastly, if you or a loved one has MS or you’ve lost someone to MS and want to give them a shoutout or play a favourite song, NA players can send an ingame mail to Yailith.4056. EU players can send fizzypetal.7936 an ingame mail. Your requests will be forwarded to the gw-en DJs who will do their best to air all song requests and shoutouts during the party.
