What: Odd Spawn Teq-a-thon, A Guild Wars 2 Community Event Hosted by TTS

What time: 10pm Friday – 10pm Saturday (server time), Every spawn except the “Prime time”

What Server: Kaineng, main and as many overflows as needed.

Why: ANet is changing “Mega boss” spawn times so they are only during “Prime time” This means that those who can not fight their favorite bosses at the set times are left out in the cold! They do allow guilds to spawn Teq using merits but they have to spend over 700g and 2 months of work and who knows how many merits just to set things up so they can spawn when they want.

This sadly leaves a good majority of those who are guildless or in small guilds or guilds without the current unlocks set up to chose between things like work/school or sleep and doing the content we love.

TTS wants to show ANet that there are people out there who LOVE their content and want to play it and we invite everyone in GW2 to come with us. We are going to spend a whole day helping ANYONE to kill Teq on these off hours to show ANet how much we love it and how much we want to SAVE OUR SPAWNS!

TTS Twitch will be there with live coverage of the event, this will be the start of our Twitch stream as well so there is going to be more ways then ever to interact with TTS.

Great idea! Come to the fights. Rep YOUR guild so ANet will see that it’s not just TTS that wants this change to the proposed schedule. I am one of the many who cannot play at “Prime” time for any zone.

do you have this for poor EU players?

We unfortunately are not on EU servers. However if someone and/or their community on the EU servers wants to try this then we would love to have someone over there doing the same.

Will definitely be supporting this as once the change come I’ll likely never be able to do it.

As someone who live on the other side of the world, I and my guild-mates approve.
I can’t imagine how hard the schedule is for oceanic players.

I don’t see the logic in skipping teq on the future scheduled times during this event. It makes zero sense, nobody is being effected by us skipping Teq but us. We’re not adding any push to our statement by skipping the times they’ve offered, it just looks immature and defiant.
It’s a shame I’ve been downvoted to oblivion for asking this on the subreddit, you guys really need to learn that downvoting isn’t for disagreeing.

The way the schedule is, currently, means anyone who works 8-5 jobs, and has any sort of commute, will have to stay up ‘til extreme hours to get even one of the big bosses, unless, of course, they’re in the coveted server time zone.

The new schedule looks like it will seriously hinder me getting any sort of achievements for the larger bosses unless I stay up long enough to get all of 6 hours of sleep before my full day at work… or be there at the right times on Saturday.

The idea of skipping is probably because Anet already figures people do Teq at those times, and never any other times. So it isn’t that it’s immature and defiant as much as it’s pointless to show them what they already know.

I’m honestly more concerned about the jungle wurm being at 2300est…

Part of the assumption on Anet’s part is that because it is primetime, that means EVERYONE will run teq at that spawn. The other assumption is that any non-primetime runs are superfluous to the point it’s better to just get rid of them.

And that is in part, the reason for this event. The intention is to run the “non primetime” spawns on as many overflows as possible every spawn.

It’s been confirmed that apparently this schedule will in fact be introduced on the 15th. For that reason, I’d like to suggest that once this marathon teq hunt starts, it doesnt stop until people get tired of it. Ideally I’d like it to start at the same time as scheduled, but not end until the patch is actually sent to the servers. 42 teq spawns, with as many overflows as we can manage.

I’ll talk to my guild leader and see if I can get my guild involved. I’m hoping to get Teq Raids run on Ehmry Bay one day. It would be helpful if we could get more people to learn
