As mentioned in our May 19 blog post, we’re really really looking forward to the opening of the new, rebuilt Lion’s Arch. And we know a lot of you are, too!
In order to celebrate in suitable fashion, let’s gather any info about planned player parties in this thread. Are you thinking your guild will get together to explore the new Lion’s Arch? Is your fansite planning a gathering? If you have some solid plans, share them here:
We have several Communications Team members who will be out and about in Lion’s Arch next week. (Well, some of us are in Lion’s Arch on a daily basis, but you know what I mean. ) The city has changed, so you may want to come back and edit your post to update with an exact location after checking out the new environment. Or choose a “near this waypoint” location, because nearly all of them are the same.
If you let us know your plans, one of us will try to drop by and say “howdy” from the ArenaNet team!
Gaile, I posted this last week, with an update reflecting today’s announcement. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/events/Party-in-the-newly-rebuilt-Lion-s-Arch/first#post5154021

Summertime Part 2: Fun in the Sun
Greetings citizens of Tyria! Summer is well on its way, and as such, it is time for a beach party! The Consortium have invited us to enjoy one of their beach resorts at Southsun Cove (In celebration of Lion’s Arch’s re-opening) and while we don’t entirely trust them, it’s difficult to say no to a party!
Dust of your bathing suits and visit your local merchant in Lion’s Arch for some suntan lotion, and don’t forget to bring some drinks! It is a party after all. There will be dancing, games, quizzes and prizes. There will also be musical performances from the world famous Minstrel’s Waypoint [CMAJ].
Miniature Llama’s will be given away
Date: 3rd June
Time: 19.00 CEST / 6 pm UK

Depending on when the patch goes live…
Xunlai Heroic Service Agents [XHSA], sponsored by Pandorum Gaming, will be gathering around where the lion statue fountain used to be on the Lion’s Court POI around 8PM Central time (hour after reset) the day of the patch (23rd?). We are on Yak’s Bend [NA].
There will likely be Kegs, Feasts, Boxes o Fun, particle effects, drunk people, and compromising screen shots. We are very excited to see and explore Lions Arch restored after being there for the invasion over a year ago.
Nice! Thanks for this info.

As long at they don’t include me, I’m ok with this.

Bring your minions, and Molachev kittentails!
Here’s what I posted on Reddit, but will also copy and paste here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/39hwum/party_in_the_newly_rebuilt_lions_arch_anyone/
So, I was thinking, (dangerous I know), about trying to assemble, a huge gathering of people, dressed/transformed in to their favorite creature/being (from tonics or potions, or even just wearing outfits or special or unique gear), and “walking” around LA, and ending the trek, at the beach, just north of the Bloodcoast Ward wp? People can set up costume brawls, bobblehead tables, etc., on the beach, and everyone can dance, (or costume brawl, in the Anet logo arena on that beach), and just have a huge mass celebration? Maybe starting at the Diverse Ledges wp/area, and then walking while transformed or outfitted, north, (while stopping at the Field of the Fallen, to pay our respects), through Trader’s Forum and the Gate Hub, around LA, until we arrive at the beach. Although no date has been released on when the “new” Lion’s Arch will be unveiled, whatever day that is, say we have maybe a 2-day party, where we assemble in Lion’s Arch, during a certain time frame. That way, those that can’t make it, the 1st day, can possibly make it, the 2nd day. (Or maybe waiting until the Friday/Saturday after it is unveiled for the gathering?). Can you imagine, 100+ people, transformed/outfitted/etc., all walking the path through Lion’s Arch? No one fighting each other; just everyone taking a historic stroll, (that I will probably record and post on YouTube), through the “New and Improved” Lion’s Arch. Thoughts?
Update
With today’s news, of the new Lion’s Arch being revealed on June 23rd, I feel that our “before” trek, should happen this Saturday and Sunday. I’m thinking on Saturday, around 6pm EST, and on Sunday, at 4pm EST, (these times are for NA, so adjust accordingly please). Thoughts? I am on the FA server, but I’m hoping this won’t be a factor. Please PM or email me, in game, to let me know if you’re interested, or would like to help organize this. I figure the “After” trek, could happen the following Saturday and Sunday. Thank you for your time!
That sounds phenomenal, BluJasmine. I hope it goes well. I’ve had an emergency come up and will be flying out of town for the weekend and sorry, a Nexus 7 is not an MMO gaming platform … I look forward to the Tuesday celebrations, though!
We can expect Lion’s Arch rebuilt in next week’s patch then (as the news blog post stated), seeing as there’s red posts not commenting that June 23rd will be too early for a New LA party?
In that case, can we please have the presence of some US Anet devs on EU servers during these events? For past events, you always show up on NA servers, but it would be nice to catch you in-game for EU players too to join in the celebration and just have a little friendly “banter”
NOTE: The Summertime Beach Party post has been updated to include two events.

From Tragedy, Springs Renewal
Fellow citizens of Tyria! Our Beloved Lion’s Arch was destroyed by Scarlet Briar, but like before, this neutral port will once again rise, like a Phoenix from the ashes. Join me in a historic trek, before the release of the rebuilt Lion’s Arch.
When: June 20 & 21, 2015
Saturday: 1PM EST (NA)
Sunday: 6PM EST (NA)
Where: We will begin, at the Diverse Ledges waypoint, and make our way past the Fields of the Fallen, (to pause for a moment, out of respect for those who were lost), making our way through Trader’s Forum, then towards Lion’s Court, through the gate hub, around the southeast path, continuing our trek, by the fractal gate, and concluding at the beach, north of Bloodcoast Ward waypoint.
To commemorate this occasion, come dressed in your finest armor, or transform in to your favorite being, as we make the walk around Lion’s Arch.
After the new Lion’s Arch is revealed, join me again, Saturday, June 27th, at 1PM EST (NA), and again on Sunday, June 28th, at 6PM EST (NA), to make a victorious trek around the new Lion’s Arch. (The path will be the same, except if the terrain has changed)
We have EU guilds also joining us, and JayVee93 will be streaming the EU treks. We may also have someone streaming the NA treks.
Let’s unite together as a community, and stand strong, knowing no foe we encounter, will destroy our resolve. Let’s make history!
I look forward to seeing you there!

I just wanted to update this thread with a bit of new information:
We are really looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, and even more, to you seeing the beautiful new Lion’s Arch!
(edited by Gaile Gray.6029)
- Everyone officially participating in the in-game events on behalf of ArenaNet will be sporting her or her new Cm [Name] character. For instance, I’ll be Cm Gaile Gray.
Goodness Gaile, we have the pleasure of hosting all the Arena-Net ladies then do we? :-)
Just a question, as your post states that they will be all jumping in-game predominantly tomorrow.
We designed the Summer Beach parties on other dates (although close to the update) as it is predicted that it will be chaos in Lion’s Arch, what with everyone exploring and multiple overflows preventing an organized gathering.
Will you all be showing up on other days also?

- We’ll be jumping into the game throughout the day.
- We’ll do our best to stop by any in-game events or parties that are going on. Because goodness knows, ArenaNet folks love a good party.
- Some of us may be chattier than others because in celebration of the build, we’re having coffee carts in the morning and a few of us ~whistles~ tend to really enjoy that caffeine buzz. Flying chat fingers, ftw!
- Each team member will let you know when he or she joins the game. We don’t have special chat colors, but we’ll definitely try to let you know we’re in and where we are. (I have my spot all picked out.)
- The characters you meet tomorrow are official non-play characters created for events through a special process. They will not be used to play; they will not impact the game economy; they will not participate in WvW or PvP. They cannot give away items or currency, nor can they accept anything.

I’m really looking forward to tomorrow too, and I would love to party with the CM team, but how do we end up in the same server? Will adding the name you’ve specified to our friend’s list help?

Will you guys be wandering to other areas as well? I know some of us in TTS are hoping to test the theory of not being able to reach 1500 stacks of conditions in normal situations
Really looking forward to it absolutely dreading the potential size of the patch, though.
I really hope Anet will still come and join, even though this was posted after the patch. I know our guild would find it cool
