Reasoning behind player anti GvG comments?

I think a key factor is how they act high and mighty. They love to talk about how much they contribute when they aren’t GvGing. It gets to the point that they make it sound like they think they’re superior to the rest of the population.
It’s a smack in the face to dedicated WvW players that don’t GvG. (GvGing doesn’t automatically make you an elite WvWer)
This additude extends to how they interact with other PvP modes too. Disrespecting TPvPers certainly doesn’t anything good for the GvGer’s image.
The GvG community is going to need to practice some serious humility if they want to be a respected part of the community, especially since they aren’t a sanctioned game mode; because if they keep acting like an angry mob of elitist jerks, they’ll never get rid of the negative perception of them.

From my perspective, the contribution thing arises from the accusations that we don’t contribute anything to WvW ever, so…it’s really a chicken and egg sort of thing. There are rudebois on either side and it gives rise to a lot of annoyance. I don’t think it will ever go away because it’s not like we’re the only elitists in the game.
