Hello! This is Melody Montaine and I would like to thank the event organisers for an amazing evening. I would also like to confirm that I am the winner of the Heart of Thorns copy and I did receive and redeem it. Thank you once again very much and keep up the amazing work you are doing for the community!

As requested by the majority here is the poem and associated items from our Treasure Hunt:

As his boots touched the docks at Lion’s Arch the locals noticed his clothes.
A ragged, once fancy, outfit, from his head to the tips of his toes.

Pirate Outfit

and there on his ear, or his wrist, or his neck, a bauble or ornament be.
But just as his breath, it’s cursed beyond death. A trinket he once found at sea.

Now, try as he might, this pirate each night, would count all the money he’d made.
But now what he sought, which couldn’t be bought, was a shiny new Lionguard blade.

He’d ponder and think, and puzzle and dream, all the while stroking his beard, and think of old pirates with a similar growth that people had long ago feared.
“But do they fear me?” he suddenly thought. “I could never live up to their measure.”
But he already did. He was feared far and wide, for pilfering all the fine treasure.

But his coffers were full, or so he had thought. He was off by one coin in weight.
So when morning arrived he would sail off again in search of more pieces of eight.

I especially liked the part when Minstrel’s Waypoint [Cmaj] rocked the stage. And I was wondering if anyone recorded and uploaded their gig, because it was the best music I heard in a while! (I’m kind of glad I showed up late and therefore even had the chance listening to their pre-show, while everyone else was still busy with the events after the quaggan race. I felt like a VIP or having a backstage-pass, hehe)

Can’t wait for “Summertime Part 2: Fun in the Sun” on July the 3rd to hear them again!
