I got an idea I wanted to draw last night so had some fun and actually managed to finish it during today:D Looks like SAL has grown since we last saw him… Maybe he found a Box-o’fun lying on the beach and looked inside.

As the prow of his ship met the rocks of the cliff, the Captain turned sickly pale.
He reached for the things he had stolen that day and gulped down a large jug of ale.

Jug of Confiscated Booze

Marooned on the shore , his ship was no more, he cursed his navigational mistake.
The sextant in hand, he threw to the sand, an exotic, now useless keepsake.

Settler’s Keepsake

With all of his might, in the lessening light, he hauled up his bag full of pickings.
Though heavy it was, he had no time to pause, as he heard the approach of loud clicking.

Heavy Bag of Booty

As the sun said goodnight and away went the light, the Captain set fire to a stick.
But a karka appeared and bit it in half, the torch extinguished by spit.

Now unable to see, he heard two karka or three, join the torch eating crustacean.
When they were done with his meat, he would rot in the heat, his remains carried off by the ravens.

And while lying sick the karka pounced, appearing swiftly, unnanounced.
