Hello everyone,
[MW] Moonlight Wings will be hosting a server event called “The Amazing Race” on Saturday September 6th at around 7pm PST (Preliminary estimate). Region: NA
We want to invite all interested players to join us on this friendly competition of speed and savvy!
How it works:
Each group will consist of 2 players – Pre-made or random grouping will depend on the number of participants we receive.
The game will resemble a mixture of the show Amazing Race and Guild Trek. All PvE content will be fair game, meaning mini-dungeons, jumping puzzles, etc can and probably will be included as part of your quest to victory.
All participants will gather at the same starting point to receive their first “quest”. After successful completion of the “quest” the players will then receive a small picture and a hint of where their next check point is. Rinse and repeat this process until the final destination.
The only acceptable form of communication between participants and [MW] event personnel will be WHISPER. Since we cannot send more than 2 mails.
The clues will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- You MUST play the character you registered for the event with, otherwise your team will be disqualified.
PRIZES 
1st place: 50g for the team – 25g per player.
2nd place: 40g for the team – 20g per player.
3rd place: 10g for the team – 5g per player.
Last place: 1 broken claw.
Deadline for registration is on September 5th.
Last notes:
- To address the issue of mega-server not putting us on the same map, we came up with the solution of putting an event coordinator at each map to taxi players in. If you have any suggestions or inputs on how we can minimize the effect of this problem, please let me know so we can make this as enjoyable and hassle-free as it can be.
- The event will likely start in Hoelbrak, from that point on there will be 5 check-points before you reach the final leg of the race.
- Both party members must reach the clue distributor before you’ll be given the next clues.
- A designated “communicator” is preferred.
- The estimated time for completion is currently sitting at 45 minutes to 1 hour.
As this is a trial event, we’re excluding level 80 maps in this race.
You do not need to be a mountain goat to complete the chosen Jumping Puzzles. Remember, patience is a virtue.
