Hello all! I’d like to issue a formal invitation to this year’s First Annual Halloween Howl!

I’m a DJ with Phoenix Radio, an online gaming entertainment radio station that strives to bring fun and entertainment to the Guild Wars 2 community! We’ve been planning a super awesome event for October 25th between the hours of 12pm and 11pm Pacific Time, in which we’d like to host a Halloween-themed event in Lion’s Arch with spooky contests and opportunities for our fellow gamers to win gold and in-game prizes!

Phoenix Radio’s new website is officially active! Tune in at phoenixradio-fm.net on October 25th between the hours of 12pm and 11pm Pacific Time and join us in Lion’s Arch for some spooky Halloween fun! Here are some of the contests we will be running throughout the night, with awesome prizes just for you!

Costume Contests:
During each of the four programmed shows throughout the night, the active DJ will give players a theme that they must match. Dress to impress! The DJ will choose their favorite costume and award the player with their choice of a 2-ticket Black Lion Skin!

The Chain with Rebecca Solace:
The Chain is a series of fast-paced trivia questions where the first person to shout out the answer in map chat wins a gold, and doubles the amount of gold that the following question is worth! If a correct answer is not given within five seconds, the reward is re-set to one gold, and we start all over again!

Hide-and-Seek with Cousin Woody:
The beloved TNL character makes a special appearance to host this fun little game! Cousin Woody will find a hiding place within the map of Lion’s Arch, and Kyrii will point in the direction that he is hiding, as well as give a few hints to where he is! The first three players to find Cousin Woody will win gold and prizes, and the next ten people afterwards will also win a participatory prize!

The Race:
Players will race to selected locations in Lion’s Arch! First three players to reach the Phoenix Radio staff member at the given location will win gold and prizes, and the next ten people to reach them afterwards also get a participatory prize!

Jumping Puzzle Race:
It’s a race to the finish! Rebecca Solace and Kyrii will wait for players at the end of a jumping puzzle within Lion’s Arch. The first three players to reach them will win gold and prizes, and participatory prizes go out to the next 10 players to reach them afterwards. No portals! Staff members will be stationed at checkpoints throughout the puzzle to look out for portal use.

The Pumpkin Punt:
Players will congregate at a given location and jump to their deaths to see who can leap the farthest in a series of five leaps, with gold and prizes rewarded to the three players who land the farthest! No armor or weapons allowed. Jump, jump, jump!

The Hunt:
A team of three hunters from Phoenix Radio will search for four players (first come, first serve!) who will have five minutes to hide throughout Lion’s Arch, and a designated staff member will point in the direction of their locations. Hiders will earn 20 silver for every minute that they can stay hidden from the hunters, with a maximum of 20 minutes.
