On behalf of my guild The Unlikely Plan, I would like to cordially invite ANET WvW dev team to a 15 v 15 (ideally a 20 v 20) Guild Vs Dev Team, match. Date to be arranged, best of 9 Rounds, team deathmatch.

Take a week or two to practice and we can arrange a date and time to suit your needs. Hell you could stream it, really boost WvW following, show yourselves to be embracing open field combat on a even playing field. Arranged fights, call it what you need too.

I eagerly await your reply.

15v15 seems unfair to me. How about 5v20?

I’d be happy with a 10v10, they probably wouldn’t have people available to do a 20v20 like that.
But let’s be real here, why would they give publicity to something they are about to kill?

Only problem is the orb buff. That’s coming in, what? Next week?

Heck was going to tell Devon to xfer to BP this week to fught GF, Agg, and the rest of the guilds in the match up

I expect a no. Actually I expect no reply whatsoever. Avid WvW player and leader of a guild myself, I felt they should have the chance to publicise “open field combat”, hell they might even enjoy it. If he thinks firing strategically placed ACs is fun, he will have an adrenaline overloud with even numbers arranged fight.

It would give them a chance to see the popularity of it, if they advertised this, they would get a lot of viewers. Hell on our server when we had our last GvG we had around 40-60 of my own server spectating, not too mention the 2 enemy servers 15+ each, watching from the hill.

I am offering a olive branch here. Heck he’s been invited to our drinking warband before

All I await is a PM, if they then want to announce it much closer to any arranged date, I can keep it underwraps. Or if they want to confirm here would be great too.

Again a lot of people say “no way it will happen”, “no way they will accept”. Well you won’t know unless you try. We can drop to 10+ if 15+ is too much, ideally 15-20 though!

It would be the equivalent of punching babies….no ACs in GvG

This is the In-game-events thread. There are no devs assigned to this one. A shame because I’d love to see it happen.

Lets hope the dev team wont bring their rifle signet warriors like last visit to AG, TUP might get a hard time then =O
Would love to view this GvG if it will occur.

I sincerly hope Anet will take a better look to their target group and the wonderfull GvG/WvW community they have, before it is too late.

Please Anet consider running with several guilds on serveral servers a couple of hours without that fancy red tag to get to know your players and their wishes instead of being stubborn.

Its unfair, should be 10 from any gvg guild against 20 devs with triple blodlust buff and couple acs

In my opinion it doesn’t even neccessarily have to be a GvG. For example, just running with us for a raid would be great to give them a feel of what’s it like to be a guild in WvW, looking for challenges mostly in the open field. But whether it’s a GvG or a raid, both would prove effective to make them realize how awesome combat like that really is, and it will provide them with insight why GvG is as popular as it is despite not being supported by Anet.

Haha, well this would definetly be fun.

Hoping it will happen despite the fact that it likely won´t. I think something like this, or infact anything near to this would alleviate lot´s of worries people have.
