Guild Wars 2

We’re three friends who’ve played MMOs for the past 6 years together and are looking for a fresh start in Guild Wars 2. We played since launch but our guild slowly dwindled and eventually ceased to function due to many reasons but mainly due to the two facts that our guild’s core group was small to start with and dwindled due to general life events and Guild Wars 2’s gameplay didn’t appeal to the majority of our guild.

We chose to stop playing, as well, for a while but we really miss the camaraderie of a gaming community. While we have specific interests and likes that we’d like to find in a guild we join, most importantly we’re looking for a sizable guild (i.e. 10-15+ active, online members during our peak hours that want to do things together) with which to game, talk, and get to know.

With that said, we’re looking for a guild that can both support WvW and PvE. All three of us have level 80s and two of us really enjoy the WvW experience, the strategy and the teamwork, and had been a part of both Henge of Denravi’s and Fort Aspenwood’s WvW communities during our previous experience with GW2. All of us enjoy dungeon running and would like to find a group of like-minded dungeon runners. Our experience with fractals has been limited before we took our break from the game but it would be nice to find a group that both like to run them regularly and be willing to help bring us back up to speed on them and current tactics.

Welcome back to the game, I’m not too sure when you last played but the in-game experience is awesome right now. Especially with the way WvW is structured right now, it is really interesting to be active in WvW. I’ll tell you a little about my guild Wrath Incarnate (WIN) which resides on the Sorrows Furnace server.

—The co-founder and I started in WoW and he ran our guild back then. It was called Wrath of Nekromancy. That’s where we got our guild name from.
—We are predominately a PvE guild but most core members are spending more and more time in WvW.
—We are all inclusive. We accept new players and old. We try our best to answer all questions and help players as much as we can
—We currently have 170 members with about 15-25 logging in daily
—We have all upgrades and attempt to do Guild Mission once or twice a week.
—We have a dedicated vent server and website
—We have been around for over a year now so its safe to say we are pretty stable.
—We are open to multi-guilding as long as you rep us during guild activities and make the effort to join us once in a while.
—We have successfully in the past absorbed groups of friends and smaller guilds and have made them feel at home in our guild
—We have an equal split of players from EST and PST

From Our Ashes [Rise](BlackGate) is a PvX guild that emphasis community and togetherness. We enjoy all aspects of what Guild Wars 2 has to offer and we play pretty much all of it. Having an atmosphere of friendship will make the game more enjoyable while still having a competitive attitude. Most of us have come from different backgrounds and areas of the game, but we are all here together now and we will Rise to new levels.

The Unholy Mackerels [UM] is a small-medium sized (30 active w/ no activity req. ~6-15 prime time), social and fun PvX guild residing on FA. Although we are on FA, we allow new recruits to guest to try out our guild and allow time before moving.

We treat everyone here like a part of the family and our relationships with each other become long-term friendships. We are down to earth and genuinely just like to fun but also like to work together to get things done!

I think MadCast Gaming could be a perfect fit for you all, we are a mature multi-game community and our Guild Wars 2 guild is located on Sanctum of Rall. We do a lot of PvE content, but we do have 2 nights a week assigned for WvW. We run a lot of both in-game and forum based events that you might be interested in.

MadCast is a gaming community that is bigger than GW2, but we are working on growing our GW2 sector right now. You can check out our website at http://www.madcastgaming.com/ips/forums.
I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:

• We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2). Most of our GW2 members are older with careers, and many have families and children.

• We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Additionally, because we are casual our community is made out of all levels of players. We have many very new players, some new to gaming in general, and our environment is built on kindness and helpfulness. People will be happy to answer your questions and guide you through things no matter how basic or advanced.

• We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.

• Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.

If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum.

This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.

You and your friends would definitely feel at home in our guild, Just Us Grownups [JUGs] , which is a drama free, casual—yet active—guild for players who are 30 years old and older.

If you want WvW, our server, Jade Quarry is a tier 1 server and we have really big fights-—a lot of them.

If you like dungeon runs, we have many members who would love to tag along—both experienced as well as inexperienced, so hopefully you won’t mind showing a few the ropes. We also have an event calendar on our website in which any member can schedule an event and have others sign up for it.

Our guild is currently over 150 members strong and despite the fact that most of us work for a living and have families that take us away from the game, we usually field around 20 members in-game at any given time.

We have an even mix of male and female players and welcome both new and veteran players. We place a high value on community. We have a great website and a fully upgraded guild.
