[AFP] Amber for President
It was meant to be a joke. Amber loves Crystal Desert Borderlands. Some call her Queen of CDBL. So the phrase “Amber for President” would be seen frequently in map chat when a tower was saved by Commander Amber Vine, but Amber is a very selfless person and told people not to say that. She believed it was her “heroes” that always saved CDBL, not only her. One day, Commander El Fiero thought he would pull a prank on Amber Vine. He created a guild named Amber for President and giggled in Teamspeak while he invited all of his friends, including Amber.
That night was also WvW reset night, and these WvW’ers decided that they would defend the homeland with the [AFP] tag. Victory followed. [AFP] became known as “The Official Crystal Desert Homeland Defense Guild”. The homeland was now safe.
[AFP] is now looking for brave protectors that put fun and defending first. You must enjoy building and refreshing siege, scouting, walking dolyaks, and remember not to be too serious.
[AFP] facts:
- We ONLY defend CD borderlands, so you are welcome to rep other guilds on other maps.
- We host and teach a monthly server-wide “Homeland Defense” class.
- Our commanders (all 20+ of them) all have guild ranks that allow them to use upgrades.
- We use the CD community teamspeak.
- We are mostly NA.
- We are not a zerg-buster group, yet, we mostly run havok groups, but we would like to recruit a commander that can lead us in zerg based tactics when needed. So, if you’re a zerg commander and would like to have a base guild willing to learn from you, please msg us for details!
- We are all passionate about defending our homeland!
- We are well backed and respected by the Crystal Desert community.
- We have a lot of fun! [AFP] sponsors the CD event of “Naked Nite”.
Crystal Desert facts:
- One of the few servers that actually have a guild focused on home borderland defense.
- We have a large zerg-busting guild allied with [AFP] that helps when needed.
- The community recently elected a new Crystalian Council, which will help us promote our server, help with community events, solve problems, and be a boon to our community.
- Crystal desert will be in the very competitive Silver League. Over the past few months the server rank has fluctuated between #9 and #12. We have a little bit of everything for WvW: zerg raids, havoc groups, GvG’s, ect. We have a large NA presence. A not so large Oceanic presence, but we do field a few large Oceanic/SEA guild that are dedicated to WvW.
- CD has an extensive array of monthly WvW training classes.
- We also have one of the largest PvE communities if you like to kill monsters on your free time.
