Guild Wars 2

I’ve never really been active in a guild before. I’ve had a few invites that I half-heartedly joined, but never participated in. I’m looking to change that. My home world is Dragonbrand. I don’t really know what else to put. I’m awful at advertising myself.

It’s been suggested to me to add a bit more here, both to make myself seem more desirable, and to help avoid wasting people’s time. I am currently unable to switch servers. I’m stuck in Dragonbrand until I hit the lottery, so that’s the first thing to keep in mind.

About myself, and my interests, I’ve actually been playing this game since it came out. However, I’m only mediocre at games, and I’ve only recently been more confident in solo’ing, so my highest character is a lvl60 human guardian. I’ve been told that being a guardian was probably a dumb choice for me, since I’m not very good at protecting anyone, but it’s too late for that now. I like map completion. I’m working on that now, while slowly grinding out my story. Only at about 30%.

I like events. I like special shiny items and trying to earn them (You may notice, I have none, but not for lack of trying!) I like crafting, too. I’m not very far in any of the skills, but again, I’m working on it. I’m complete kitten at jumping puzzles, but I love the feeling of completing them.

Mostly I’m looking for a guild to chat with while I play, and a guild that might have willing members to help a useless baby (That’s me) with difficult vistas, or organizing events (Like getting boss blitz done right)

Aw, squid are super awesome, and you sound like you’d be fun to adopt to our guild home. =) I know you’re on Dragonbrand, but if you’d be willing to guest (you don’t have to transfer), maybe you’d be interested in my guild, Ember Solace? We have about 50 people, and we’re on Tarnished Coast.

We do a mix of PvE, PvP, and WvW (and I’m planning on hosting a beginner RP event soon). Plus, we have a very active Social Officer who does all kinds of contests and giveaways. We do scheduled events (like our Crown Pavilion Boss Blitz tonight) and spontaneous events like the random Fractals and jumping puzzles people get up to on the spur-of-the-moment.

The guild launched with roaming parties late each night, however, we’re fully experienced with any dungeon you may enjoy slipping in. Greetings Squid,

No need to feel bad about not being good at the game (self-perceived or otherwise). We all started off the same way.

Maybe my little home will suit your needs. I run a smaller guild called The Gryphons Aerie. We’re a casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP family on Tarnished Coast. We run on mostly an EST time frame but we do have several west coast, European and Asian/Oceanic time zone members.

Knowledge of and/or participation in RP is not required.
We’ll teach you if you want to learn, but there’s no pressure. Some of our members also enjoy WvsW/sPvP (although we don’t have a regular WvsW showing) and we do have our own sPVP arena. We also have a variety of member-hosted events that change every week.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact.
We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. Just leave a little note to let us know you’ll be away, and all is well.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family.
We are very LGBTQ friendly (with several members of the leadership being either part of the community or allies of it) and do not tolerate any sort of derogatory words, comments, bigotry etc. toward anyone regardless of nationality, race, religious beliefs, gender or sexuality.

We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can, whether it’s dungeons/Fractals (which I love to help teach), builds, and other general game questions. All you need to do is ask. We also don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc, nor require anyone to bring a specific class or build for any dungeon run. Bring whatever you want and we’ll have fun regardless.

We do not demand 100% representation.
It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us the majority (only 51%) of your time, if you can.

It’s also ok if you’re not on Tarnished Coast. There’s no need to transfer right away or at all. You can always just guest with us for dungeons, fractals and other sorts of mischief and shenanigans that we may find ourselves in.

We also have a TeamSpeak 3, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis. Most of our chatter is on the guild channel.

Hello Squid!

I’m the co-leader of Reckless Entanglement. We’re a small group of friends who recently decided to start our own guild to support each other. We are based in Ferguson’s Crossing and mostly play during evenings in the Eastern and Central time zones.

We have absolutely no problem showing new players the ropes. We recruit people based on attitude and willingness to be a team player, not Achievement Points or how many level 80 characters they have. You will never get yelled at for bringing the “wrong” build, but we will suggest changes you can make to be more effective.

While our primary focus is WvW, we do know how to run dungeons. Several members have the Dungeon Master achievement and know their way around the different paths. We tend to not skip mobs, but that’s situational. We’re far more relaxed in PvE.
