Hey we are a PvX guild that focus mostly on WvW. We are a very fun loving guild that is very active and aside from WvW we also do dungeons and guild missions. We are looking for people that are mature and interested in learning about WvW and working as a team to better Devonas Rest.

We usually get about 15 people on per night for guild ops and are trying to bring that number up to 20-25 we also have no problem helping new member with there build so that we can work together as a team. QFT. I stalk BevR on occasion when I’m on and they’re rolling. They’re not only a fun, cool, and cooperative bunch that gives a TON to Dh, they’re a force to be reckoned with on the battle field.

I have been in the guild for a while and I love running around with them. We kick butt and have fun doing it.

As one of the founders of BEVR, I have watched our guild progress from a small group of friends to a big group of friends. I can honestly say that I have never seen an online gaming group that balances hardcore with fun and silliness as well as this one does. We are welcoming, playful, but also are beginning to develop our skills as serious WVW players. Our guild ops are frequent and we are beginning to focus on specific builds and tactics. It is an exciting time to be in our guild. We can be loud and rowdy, but we also put a heavy emphasis on making a safe environment for everyone. One thing we take pride in is that we don’t tell you how to enjoy this game. However, if you want to get serious, that is available. If you want to learn about WVW, our guild is a great place to learn without ridicule or condescension. LOVE THE BEAVER. Some of the best commanders on the server are in this guild. Take it from me, when BevR is out on the field, they give it their all and are an awesome force to fight beside. Quednau! Thank you very much for your kind words, I’ll love you forever. Very nice to know that you’re sticking your face in something that is none of your business. We moved because of people like you. DH has a very toxic community and unappreciative members…that description applies to you right now. Our time in DH was great but it simply was not a good environment and needless to say competitive enough…hence why you’re here now…NSP too tough?. Thankfully BevR is a very respectful guild and we will not be going into DH’s recruiting thread to bash…now on this one its a whole different game.

BevR and I wish you guys the best of luck in the future. Do not expect us to come back…we have found a great new home that appreciates our efforts and works as a true community: together.

P.S.: (this is meant to be a whisper: make sure you call THAT commander to be on 24/7 that way roa….I mean people come out of the woodwork to play).

Let’s talk logically here.

Darkhaven is a server full of “Expect everything, give nothing”. It is a server dependent on a small handful of guilds, giving them the full pressure and load to carry a server. Whenever there is an attack or a zerg coming against you, if you do not have one of the few guilds that had a presence, you lost your tower or you wiped. Having this constant pressure and stress causes the game to no longer be fun, it turns into a chore. Not only this, but after time, it’s expected for these guilds to perform this way…and no one then appreciates the efforts put forth by the guild, that’s just their job, they have to do it.

Darkhaven has 0 structure. Think about it, no guild leaders in consistent communication, half the time we are STRUGGLING for a commander to tag up….even though there are 5 of them sitting at spawn that could do it. No one goes on TeamSpeak, there is no organization on any map, and there is practically 0 defence in place if an attack comes.

After a period of time, this becomes boring, and it no longer feels like a game, and instead a chore that you’re not getting paid for. This is why people have decided to transfer, and found that another server makes this game fun again. Devona’s Rest has an actual sense of community here, the Team Speak is loaded, guilds and maps are organized, and it’s not a constant pressure that if you’re not there, the server will fall. The game is fun again. Darkhaven is spiralling downward and has become toxic as a community, there’s no pro for “loyalty” in this situation.

oh pls, lol… Just disappointing seeing all those map shouts to join the bevr every 10 mins then you guys leaving the next week, trying to drain a server of its players.. whatever atleast i will no longer worry about Dirty and his group trolling my golems :P And ofcourse were going to have a hard time against a server that dropped from silver into our tier.. Its something a server has to overcome and DH always finds a way back on our feet. After all the guilds growing and leaving we always make a come back to the top of bronze. Im sure within a month or two we’ll be seeing DR again, and if you guys dont transfer too the next server that beats you it’ll be fun facing off against a ex DH guild

No, you will not be seeing DR. This a server that people are HAPPY to be on. People that come here, enjoy it, and love to see it expanding. DH on the other hand is going to drop in bronze tier. BevR didn’t drain the server of its players, a lot of BevR’s did stay and the rest of DH started attacking them even though they were being “loyal”. Good to see you guys appreciate the ones who did stay. Not only that, but word is there was a vast amount of bitterness for a while after BevR did leave, no longer focusing on your building as a server, but how many “traitors” left for DR. My loyalty lies with the people I like to play with, not the server that we happen to be under, especially when that server is turning into a poisonous cesspool.

Difference between DH and DR is community. DH got a new guild recently, they didn’t stay long. DR has gotten new guilds recently, they’ve jumped up and are looking like strong contenders in Silver Tier. There is evidently a huge difference there, it speaks for itself.

Denial isn’t going to help the server at all.

Before replying, I’d like to get it out of the way that I’m not trying to derail the thread… I stayed quiet in this thread since you left for a reason. Regardless of what Quednau has said, you guys took it upon yourselves to attack Dh as a whole, so now I’ll take it upon myself to respond.

Firstly, you point out how the server is reliant on a few small guilds. What server isn’t? You’re either a server that pugblobs everything into oblivion, or your guild groups carry you, it’s one or the other and the former is definitely less preferable to the latter. I understand not liking the atmosphere of feeling you’re needed for success. However, the alternative has it’s downsides as well. On DR, you may be welcomed, but do you feel needed at all? If you left would DR by any different? No, you’re nothing on DR, you are you’re just another number. BEVR isn’t special like it was on Dh, you guys were loved by 95% of the server, myself included, you weren’t some guild everyone on our server was told to welcome so we could make a push for t3. On DR, you’re just another number, another member of the bandwagon hype-train.

You have a point on organization. A very, very good point.

As to your insistence that it’s toxic, I have guildies from DR that insist the same exact thing… Literally, in one matchup with them, we had 3 DR people transfer and join my guild. All of them had an overwhelmingly negative opinion (cept one which was just mostly negative) on it, have been on Dh for weeks and are much, much happier. Ask Dirty, I had them all join a party with him in a last ditch effort to scare him back into transferring to Dh!

Edit: Also, are you referring to fury? They’re not a new guild, they left Dh quite a while ago, and since then left the server the transferred to. Is anyone surprised they left Dh again?

Hmm, I see all this talk of a toxic community… when 99% of the time my experiences with BEVR were positive. Sure there are isolated incidents of this or that player doing something stupid, but the vast majority of people were appreciative to BEVR and many tried to show it. I was super supportive of you guys, thanking y’all for tagging up/sending some siege/talking y’all up in map chat… Most people shared my sentiments.

And your support was more than welcome Arius, as well as that of many individuals. Like you said, everybody is entitled to their own opinions, and our opinion is that other individuals in the DH community were toxic and unappreciative. Have you seen any of us go into any DH threads at all and be negative? Short answer, no. That simple answer summarizes the sentiment of those who transfered. As Mindstate stated earlier, the BevRs’ that stayed in DH were not being treated very nicely either, another example of the type of community. Not all of DH is like this, I’d say most of DH is not like this, but there is plenty of unsavory apples to be had.

As we have said before, we wish the best to DH and there is no need to bash a simple recruitment thread. Mind your own business =)

The reason I left is I was tired of getting stomped in the game mode I played the most. I was tired of running into EB and wondering where a commander was, and there rarely being one. I was tired and bored of the same ol’ “zerg it” and nothing else, and even then, barely being able to hold our own. There was nothing new DH had to offer, there was nothing exciting and nothing making me want to play anymore. I spent more time on the TP than actually playing the game, because nothing else drove me to play.

DR isn’t reliant on a couple of small guilds. There are many guilds here, all with a purpose, and all that recognize each other for what they bring to the table. We are not “just a number” here, everyone recognizes everyone, whether a guild of 5 or a guild of 50. Guilds here work together, organize, communicate, and it feels great.

Might I add, that BevR was never bought out. We didn’t accept anything, we didn’t negotiate anything and we did not ask for anything. It was decided it was a better place to flourish, where a skill set is more worth while. I’m glad DH received some people back to compensate for the loss that did happen.

The fact remains though, BevR is happy on DR, happy to be part of a silver server that are rising, and are happy to be a part of the growing numbers. Although 1 or 2 people coming in here isn’t an indication of a whole server, we were simply updating our recruiting and still seems like our departure is a very sour topic.

I’m not attacking DR, i’m stating the reasons why I personally left. From what I hear, DH seems to have a serious bitterness for BevR after we left, so it goes both ways. DH took it upon themselves to speak out on BevR as a server, and temporarily alienate the remaining members that stayed on your server. If our thread was left at peace, there wouldn’t have been a reason for me to respon.

The Bevr who stayed, created their own guild….and all they’ve received is our respects. don’t kno why you are thinking we’ve been bashing the ppl who stayed here.. And if a guild leaves the server they started on your going to get negative feedback regardless of what server you left behind. Im just warning the players shopping for guilds what theyre in for. If your interested in a potential server hoping guild join BevR save your gems for when all the DR guilds that transferd get ready to tank the next server b4 tourny.

…and now you’re sitting here bashing BevR. This just goes to show how bitter some people are that our guild left, we must be missed.

And at first, they were not treated well, hence the reason they made a new guild. People who had a BevR tag weren’t shown much decency. They were claimed a traitor even though they stayed for simply being part of a guild that split servers.

So far, i’ve decent with you…I’m just a member of the guild, and in no way speak for the leaders….don’t turn me into a d**k. Put your shoes on, and get back to your DH threads, we’ve got no use for you in here.

I never post negatively in a recruitment thread unless it’s as a response to what someone else has said/done :P. Certain folks here (civil though it may have been) did bash my server, so that’s why I responded. It doesn’t really matter what Que said, at best (not even admitting to this), they’d have reason to bash Que for what he said. But they bashed my server as a whole, for what Que alone said. I think that justifies my response :P.

I still consider Turgon a cool guy, never really knew mindstate too well but he seems agreeable enough. I ain’t trying to be a hater lol.

That’s only because we’ve heard the backlash that BevR received from DH, and just refused to acknowledge it because it never directly affected us. This, on the other hand, was brought up in our official guild recruitment page, which could negatively impact our guilds numbers. Gave reason to finally speak on the fact.

TY for the support Alvin. Quednau is actually in DH, I don’t think he has updated his signature from [Abys]. [Abys] used to be a DH guild originally.

[BevR] is one of the best guilds you could ever be a part of. After a day of work I come and hang out with these guys and gals and no matter what kind of day it has been it always is a great evening hanging out with them. BevR runs mostly in wvw as a zerg busting group, however we also do eotm, pvp, and world bosses too. Come join us and I promise you will have a good time with a great group of people.

The cookies are baked! We are having lots of fun and looking forward to have new guildies that like running structured guild zerging in WvW and EOTM. Come join us and lets eat some cookies!
