Guild Wars 2

Hello all,

I am a 32 year old husband and father. With my work schedule and young child, I don’t have the ability to play as hardcore as I would like or as I used to (in other games).

I am relatively new to GW2 and I only have a level 43 thief. Lately, I am very much enjoying the game, but I am tired of running solo all the time.

I am looking for a casual, family friendly, active guild that I can hang with. More than 2 or 3 players online at a time would be great. I had enough of that in WoW and other games. It gets pretty tiring playing solo or talking to folks who aren’t chatty or are cliquish.

I live in the EST timezone. Game time varies but usually 8-930 most nights with Friday being deemed by the lady as “game night”.

Hi Rhadovan. What kind of things do you like to do in the game? Perhaps you’ll get more luck if folks have an idea on what your playstyle is like. (ie, if you like PvE, PvP, WvW, Role Playing, etc.)

Our guild is largely comprised of people like you. Our average age is probably early 30’s, and many of us have families and work responsibilities. For many of our more casual players, even if they only log in once or twice a week, they have a home with good company. We’re a casual adult guild going back to 2007 in GW1, we’re most busy at night (NA), and we utilize Ventrilo for dungeons or just general chat. Alcohol is always welcome, of course.

At this point in time, we have 131 on the roster. However, many of those are inactive so that’s misleading. Any given night will have 10-20 people playing, and we’re constantly searching out more cool people to add to the mix.

Xing, I guess that would have been good info for me to put out there…. I am mostly PvE. I am open to PvP, but have very little experience in GW2 pvp. I am open to it, but I enjoy the story of the game, the sights, etc.

If you really want to join a casual guild join DEAD, we have 470-490 members. We do most everything PvE, WvW, and recently we are hosting monthly PvP tournaments with prizes, etc. We don’t require anything of you except that you play more than once a month, and you represent us 100% of the time. Although we are so awesome you will want to ^-^

As others have posted, DEAD, Coo and AEGIS are all guilds you should take a look at on BG. All offer a variety of events that should help continue to perk your interest in the game.

A lot of Blackgate guilds post on their server forums. Would definitely recommend taking a look at http://blackgatewvw.com/forum/

Coo is mostly WvW… I dont understand why people keep listing it on PvE threads.

It’s been a few days since you’ve posted, but in the off chance that you still haven’t found a guild, I’ll offer mine for your consideration as well.

About us:

Just Us Grown ups [JUGs] is a very friendly, drama-free guild which is comprised of people 30 yr.s old and older (our min. age is 25).

We are on the Jade Quarry server which is one of the three top-ranked servers for WvW. It’s also a high population PvE server and players from all other servers come to ours to participate in it’s events.

We have an even mix of male and female players and welcome both new and veteran players. We place a high value on community. We have a great website and a fully upgraded guild of over 100 members.
