Not true at all.. Queue times are only heavy during the first few hours of reset.. And even then, it will not take you more than an hour to get in..

Since the addition of the Bloodlust Orb buffs, actively hunting down enemy zergs is key to maximize “Score Not From Tick”. You can check out how well Worlds do by clicking on this link

BG has been ranking 1st in NA for this stat since these buffs were added. Currently we are at 47% (1st). For comparison sake, JQ who you faced last week is at 34% (12th).

Thanks for sharing that lemrish. Always good to see a familiar face. Blackgate has a stroung and healthy wvw experience that isn’t about zerging. To echo the answer about queues, I only see queues when NA prime hits in the evening or if someone is pushing one of our keeps hard and everyone gets called in to save the day.

Heck, most nights a queue is usually short and a welcome sign of relief as people are coming to help.

From a small guild leaders perspective. The community is amazing and generous. We have had very few inner Blackgate issues between guilds and when they do come up we have always handled them professionally and politely.

Guilds volunteer their time and gold to train others. These are the kind of people drinking at a moot with!

We have quite a few skilled roaming guilds who tend to run with 5-6 players per night.
We also have large guilds who are in WvW to take on similar huge opposing forces and guilds with 20-25 that run untagged each night.

No matter what you prefer, small scale or large scale, you’ll have company on our server.

most guilds run with 20-35 people, just stay clear of whoever is running the float team and you should be fine

alot of the small fights happen around the centre of the map for the bloodlust buffs, fun times

you can usually feel when a big zerg loads into the map and its not too hard to avoid them

and there are 80v80v80 fights but they are usually inside garrison just switch maps and its fine

Yea mine neither.. Teams are not organized pretty well in BG wvw, they’re also a variety of types so you can always join the team that suits your preference as far as numbers/roles go. You won’t have any problem finding the kind of play you want. XD

Hey, my guild fell apart and I will be moving to Blackgate. My prime time personally is 4-9pm EST. I am a hardcore WvW necro (although I have a Warrior and Guardian), full ascended and also have a Commander tag. I’m not a pro commander but I have a tag in case a Commander needs a break or something of the sort happens. Are any guilds recruiting?

Hey Spectrals, yeah there’s plenty of guilds who would cover your playtimes.

You’ll also find guilds recruiting in game during your playtimes so just play for a bit when you get here and see who you fit in with best yourself.

Bumpy! We’re really need some more Oceanic/EU WvW guilds for the upcoming top tier league next few weeks.

To those guilds who are looking for chance to fight in the top tier NA league, if you have any question regarding to Blackgate, let us know. (pm myself, Nirvii in game)

Afraid of queue time but wanna fight in tier1? No need to look elsewhere because blackgate is the least queue time amoung all tier1’s server.
Oceanic: No queue time at all even in EBG.
SEA: Only 5min queue on EBG the rest none.
EU: No queue time at all as well.

We might transfer to this server. Hoping for a very nice community :P

Is there anyone i can speak to in blackgate? because Nirvii said Blackgate can help to fund transfers.

I hopped servers a few months ago from BG (i was in the JL guild) to UW (eu) server.
But the mentality on the eu server i found very low.
Always the same guild where running wvw and when the server does bad they all go pve and only the diehard wvw guilds kept playing.
So i got bored on UW and transfered back to BG last saturday with my small guild of about 15 players all EU players (still a few of my guild needs to transfer).
So happy to be back on BG.

Blackgate (NA tier1 server) is currently seeking for additional help during Oceanic. Basicly if you want a challenging fight in tier1, Blackgate server is your best bet because i can guarantee you that there is “no queue” at all during Oceanic even in EBG

Here i sum up our server advantage for you:
-No queue time during Oceanic, and yes i do mean in EBG as well! You cant find a better place for Oceanic in tier1 than Blackgate regarding to the non queue time. If you dont believe me, just look at http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/33/ PPT indicated how stacked the server is during a given timezone. Blackgate surely least stacking during Oceanic than others
-Tier1 Experience. Being in tier1 means there will be always fight for you. Unlike lower tier brackets whom may lack of Oceanic population to create competitive fight, No pvdoor in tier1, there will always be zergs for you to kill!
-Sustainable community. Blackgate has been in tier1 for ages and we fight til the last day in WvW. There is a reason for our nickname to be Beastgate
-Best PvE Community. Bored in WvW?, well we have plenty of PvE population for you to invite to dungeons and stuff. World first’s Teq kill proved our strong point too!
-Best active forum as well as one center teamspeak for you to use! You can even asked for your own forum section for your guild and your private channel in our teamspeak www.blackgatewvw.com and teamspeak: blackgatevoip.com

Moved to blackgate 4months ago myself and haven’t regretted my decision ever since.
Great community and wvw mentality.

Tell me honestly, can BG realistically beat SoR and JQ?

BG or JQ could both win, imo. SoR held back last week, it seemed, so we honestly won’t know what their real numbers look like until league starts. BG and JQ, what you see is what you get, numbers-wise and queue-time wise, and would both be good options going into league.

Agree with Zhonn. I think tier 1 will be as competitive as its ever been during league play. All three servers have their strong periods (JQ – late OCX and SEA, SoR – EU and early NA, BQ – late NA and early OCX) and ultimately, weekly wins when facing one another will be determined by map play.

As someone who transferred to BG a few months ago, I can honestly say I love the community and interaction between guilds. TS is always active and there are some amazing guilds to work with during my time slot.

As a server, we would love to see some more OCX, SEA and EU players and guilds among our mix. If any guilds or individuals are interested and have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line and I’d be happy to answer them.

It’s more about being aggressive during your strong time zone and be defensive during your weak time zone, and try to ensure the best handover with wp keeps across time zones as much as possible. Every server even in their weak time zones typically has enough people to at least defend two maps (ebg and home bl). I think while play better is really important, a lot of times it’s more like “whoever plays the hardest that week wins”.

That being said, while there’s a certainly a good chance for BG to win T1, the chance is probably smaller compared to a more stacked server like JQ as BG guilds will need to play harder and smarter. So if the only reason you want to join a T1 server is to win gold league, BG may not be the one with the highest odds. However, if you just want to join a T1 server with good competition and a tight community that work together to try to win gold league, BG is a good choice that can guarantee you will have a good journey.

I think siege donations is purely voluntary, I am not sure if we have any movements to donate sieges though.

Thing is, if you join SoR/JQ, you will get queued kitten all map (esp if the league begin so more population returns) even during Oceanic/SEA/EU. However the strong advantage of BG is that we’re tier1 material with great community, just we now lacking Oceanic/EU population to compete with the top2 stacked servers.

So please consider Blackgate as your new home and let’s bring the real fight to others!

I’ve never experienced such high quality gaming, or had as many ‘nerd chills’, in ANY other game, like I have on Beastgate.

Yes GW2/anet supplied the platform, but Blackgate supplied the community.

The cross map co-ordination, the inter-guild support, the international team work. we are more than ‘just another server’.

Well I transferred to Blackgate looking for more competitive WvW. First I go to Eternal Battlegrounds to see that we’re #1 outnumbered, #2 no commander on the map, and #3 no keep with waypoint on any of the four maps (even TC have two). There was also #4 no siege in any of our keeps and towers. I flipped a couple of camps and sentries and with nothing else to do started running supply to build Burning Oil, escorting yaks, etc. Throughout all the time I spent on the map, nobody said anything, no “JQ zerg at Lang” or “let’s push to Speldan”, even though JQ and TC were going at each other.

Then I switched maps to BG BL, where there was a commander. Before I got out of the spawn area I noticed a 30-man JQ zerg taking Hills, so I call it; the response is “seriously leave the tower” and “I’m in contact with JQ”. Lol! Talk about karma training!

I know it’s reset night and there’s no way BG will make up the 70k point deficit this week, but I must say so far I’ve been awfully disappointed. It feels like playing for SoS, except with more players.

It’s reset day and the match before Season 1 starts. Very few if any are serious about the match today. Things will be entirely different as of 6pm server time tonight. Welcome to Blackgate! If you haven’t already done so, I would encourage you to register an account at blackgatewvw.com and get validated as a player on the server. It’s a great resource to stay in touch with the happenings in wvw for the server and interact with other guilds/players outside of the game.

As anyone can see the first week of League’s in T1 is very close. However, Blackgate still has coverage gaps in the timezones talked about above. If you’re looking for constant fights and a great community, Oceanic/SEA/EU guilds should turn their attention to BG!

BG took first place in leagues and we really worked hard as a server to achieve that. NA especially had guilds and commanders put in extra extra overtime to cover the recruiting time zones. In short, we really have a dedicated server.
We have a lot to offer. An awesome, tight-knit wvw community full of veterans and people who wanna help out, constant epic fights with SOR and JQ, and we treat our guilds with respect and gratitude.
We currently have worrisome gaps outside of NA time zone which is why we are looking for Oceanic SEA EU guilds to fight with us. (especially oceanic and eu).
Maps are not queued during oceanic, eu weekday hours and in the off chance that it is, it only takes a couple minutes to enter wvw. If you join now when BG needs you the most you will be treated as kings and heroes xD
