Guild Wars 2

Set up in May 2004 during the E3 for Everyone event, CV still thrives to this day with the continued visitor-ship of dedicated members, whether it be over the forums or in the game itself. We’ve been on the Henge of Denravi server since the launch of the game, and are a PvX guild with an active forum at http://cv.englishmist.com/forums.

Our members hail from many different regions, including America, Europe, Asia and the Oceanic region, and we have people online throughout the day/night. Our in-game goals may differ, some leaning more towards the pve aspect and some towards the pvp, but we ultimately want the same thing; that is to have fun, and to share in the family of CV.

We’re a laid back, warm bunch of friends who enjoy conversations, guild outings, games, fan-fic, fan-art and discussions over the forum. We love to share a good laugh, and do things together. It’s the sense of camaraderie that keeps us coming back, time and again. Several members have gone as far as to meet each other in real life after getting acquainted within the guild, thus expanding the definition of what CV truly is.

We have officers to oversee administration and the running of events. We also run weekly guild missions twice every week, once for Asian timezones and a second time for NA timezones. Outings/missions are open to all skill ranges, and while the usage of the server TS (of which we have our own private channel) is encouraged, it is not compulsory. It is also not compulsory to represent us continually, although it’s greatly encouraged.

We also run weekly Acceptance Ceremonies to promote pending members to full. The ceremonies are followed by what we call the “Buddy Circle”. This weekly tradition helps the guildies to get better acquainted, and feel more like a large extended family. Beyond the practices of member and officer ceremonies, CV takes further steps into the realm of role-play, being one of the first, or only guilds on GW1 to create a 2-season machinima video series based on a beloved guild RP. It has gone on with several other forum role-plays, and more recently, has found considerable success in GW2 with its once a week in-game live-role-plays.
